The American Music Awards are just around the corner, and fans are buzzing with excitement! The first round of talented performers was officially announced, surprising music lovers left and right. This year’s electrifying lineup features a mix of chart-topping stars and genre legends, including Gloria Estefan, Lainey Wilson, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Benson Boone, and Renée Rapp.
The highly anticipated awards show follows shortly after the American Country Music Awards, and will air live on CBS on May 26. For those tuning in online, it will also stream live on Paramount+. This appearance marks a special return for Estefan, as it will be her first AMA performance in over three decades. Fans can expect a nostalgic and powerful set from the Grammy-winning icon.
Gloria Estefan Takes The Stage
Stefani is also set to take audiences on a musical journey. The No Doubt singer is set to sing a medley celebrating the 20th anniversary of her solo debut album, “Love. Angel. Music. Baby.” In addition to her early hits, she’ll be performing new tracks from her most recent album, “Bouquet.”
Country superstar and Stefani’s husband, Blake Shelton, is making his return to the AMA stage with what is expected to be an epic performance of a brand-new single from his latest album, “For Recreational Use Only.” Meanwhile, Wilson, riding high off several chart successes and a highly anticipated new single, is sure to bring her signature country flair and bell-bottoms to the big stage.
In a standout moment of the evening, Janet Jackson will be honored with the prestigious Icon Award and will perform on stage. Adding even more star power to the night, Jennifer Lopez will not only perform but also serve as this year’s host, promising high energy and iconic fashion throughout the show.
Can You Still Vote for the AMAs?
Voting for most categories officially closes on May 15, but fans still have time to cast their votes in two remaining categories, Social Song of the Year and Collaboration of the Year. This year’s top nominees include Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Shaboozey, and Chappell Roan, each of whom has made a major impact on the charts and across social media in the past year.
With such a dynamic lineup and several memorable tributes expected to take place, the 2025 AMAs promise to be an unforgettable celebration of today’s biggest artists and the music that moved us all year long.
