Marvel Star Joins the ‘Yellowstone’ Universe in Major Role

Fans of Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” shows as well as major Marvel actors will be excited for the next spinoff in the popular Western series.

Michelle Pfeiffer is set to take on the lead role of the next big series, “The Madison.” The show features a New York City family setting up shop in Montana’s Madison River valley. Pfeiffer joins Patrick J. Adams, Matthew Fox and Elle Chapman, among others. The Academy Award nominated actress is also executive producing.

Filming for “The Madison” started in September 2024 and concluded sometime in December of the same year.

Not Her First Time on the Small Screen

Pfeiffer may be known for her prowess on the silver screen but she’s also dabbled in a show or two.

The actress took on her first major television role as The Bombshell in the 1979 “National Lampoon’s Animal House” spinoff, “Delta House.” She also started in “B.A.D. Cats” as Samantha Jensen in 1980.

After some stints starring in television films and specials, Pfeiffer took on the role of Mindy Simmons in “The Simpsons.”

She next starred in the Showtime anthology drama series “The First Lady” for PBS. There, she played Betty Ford. The show also stars Viola Davis, Gillian Anderson, Dakota Fanning and others.

Pfeiffer’s next role on television will be in the upcoming David E. Kelly created “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.” That one stars Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Nick Offerman and Greg Kinnear as well.

The Ever Growing World of “Yellowstone”

This will be the third “Yellowstone” spinoff series in production from Sheridan and Paramount. We previously shared how “The Madison” ties into the story of Sheridan’s making.

“1883” aired as a limited series on streamer Paramount+ in 2021. Sam Elliott, LaMonica Garrett, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill starred with the latter two taking on the roles of “Yellowstone” family mainstays The Duttons. That show has officially concluded.

The next show to air was “1923” nearly a year later. It stars Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford as the next set of Duttons.

“Yellowstone,” “1883,” and “1923” have all had crossovers with one another.

Another spinoff based off of a location in “Yellowstone” dubbed Four Sixes Ranch (6666) is currently in development. The same can be said for a WWII based “1944” and a Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser spinoff featuring the popular characters Beth and Rip. Additionally, a procedural starring Luke Grimes’ Kayce Dutton and Spencer Hudnut was also recently announced.
