Savannah Chrisley Tells Sister Lindsie to ‘Lose Our Last Name,’ But It Looks Like She Already Did

The Chrisley family is back on reality TV, but it’s not all sweet tea and Southern charm. In the newly released trailer for “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality,” which premieres September 1 on Lifetime, viewers get a front-row seat to the fractured state of the once-tight-knit clan.

While Savannah Chrisley and brother Grayson Chrisley hint at betrayal and emotional turmoil following their parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley’s prison sentences, one name keeps surfacing despite her absence from the show: Lindsie Chrisley.

Though Lindsie will not appear in the series, she’s referenced multiple times in the trailer, including a bombshell quote from Savannah: “The prosecutor read the letter Lindsie wrote, and we’re no longer family… Lose our last name.”

And according to Lindsie? She already has.

Lindsie Chrisley Opens Up About Her Quiet Name Change

On the July 16 episode of her podcast The Southern Tea, Lindsie Chrisley confirmed that she recently updated her Instagram display name to “Lindsie Landsman,” a nod to her boyfriend David Landsman. Although her username remains @lindsiechrisley, the change didn’t go unnoticed.

“More people noticed than I ever even imagined,” she said. “It was supposed to be a quiet movement.”

Rumors immediately began swirling that the couple had tied the knot, especially after Lindsie shared beachside photos with David and her son Jackson. But according to the former “Chrisley Knows Best” star, the name switch had nothing to do with marriage—and everything to do with personal growth.

“For a long time, I very much battled with carrying my maiden last name,” she explained. “With me carrying that last name came public association… assumptions of all different kinds, weight that I truly feel like I never asked for.”

Lindsie clarified that while the Chrisley surname became famous thanks to their USA Network reality show, it “did not create income or opportunity” for her personally.

“In fact, it became very problematic with me being associated in any capacity, in business, and has been problematic for projects that I have done post-‘Chrisley Knows Best,’” she said.

Savannah Chrisley Isn’t Holding Back—And Neither Is Lifetime

The trailer for “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality” doesn’t shy away from the family’s most painful fractures. Grayson Chrisley opens the clip by stating,

“We’ve had our own family members betray us,” before the screen flashes a headline detailing Lindsie’s past claims of harassment and threats by her father, Todd Chrisley.

The drama continues as Savannah opens up about her fractured relationship with brother Chase Chrisley, who was arrested in January.

“Chase is not Chase. It’s literally a blank shell,” Savannah says in the trailer. “There’s part of me that’s so afraid he’s going to die… I told my parents, ‘I don’t know if it can ever be repaired, honestly.’”

The show will also chronicle Todd and Julie’s reunion after serving time in separate prisons.

“The Chrisleys: Back to Reality” premieres Monday, September 1, at 8/7c on Lifetime. It can also be viewed on Frndly TV.
