‘Married at First Sight’ Stars Expecting Twins

The “Married at First Sight” success story continues for Chris and Nicole Thielk, who are now preparing to welcome twins into their growing family. The couple, who met and married as complete strangers during season 16 of the reality series, shared their exciting pregnancy news with People magazine.

Nicole, 35, admits she never anticipated this particular twist in her journey. The surprise of anticipating two babies at once has her reflecting on how unexpected events have shaped her life in the best possible ways.

“Twins were never on my bingo card, but then again, neither was marrying a stranger,” Nicole told People. “I’m so blessed that both things have happened, and I can’t wait to be twin parents with the love of my life.”

The expectant mother continues to express gratitude for how her life has unfolded since taking the leap of faith on the show. Her perspective shows how embracing uncertainty can lead to incredible rewards.

“I truly can’t believe my luck sometimes, but then I remind myself that everything in my life has led me to this point and I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be,” she shared with the outlet.

Chris, 39, shares his wife’s excitement and amazement at their efficient approach to building a family. The expecting pair shared their joyful news on Instagram, accompanied by a video showing them displaying the ultrasound photos of the twins.

“And sometimes, your wildest dreams really do come true,” Nicole wrote for the caption. “The Thielk Twins coming January 2026.”

From Reality TV to Real Family

“Nicole and I are extremely blessed and thankful to be opening this next chapter of our journey,” Chris told People. “I mean, talk about being efficient. We marry as strangers and then not only end up with twins but end up with a boy and girl as our first try at being parents!”

The couple’s journey began on “Married at First Sight” season 16, which took place in Nashville, Tennessee. Both Nicole and Chris felt strongly that the experiment had found them their perfect match, despite facing some challenges during their eight-week trial period of marriage.

Their relationship faced typical newlywed hurdles, including discussions about body image and moving in together after the show. However, they chose to stay married on Decision Day, recognizing that their connection was worth working on together.

Since the cameras stopped rolling, the couple has continued building their life together. They were the only couple from season 16 to both say yes on Decision Day and remain together afterward.

Chris expressed his anticipation for Nicole’s role as a mother and their shared experience of parenthood, and shared his thoughts about their transition into becoming parents together.

“These children will be so loved and Nicole is going to be the best and most amazing mom to them!” he said.

Building Their Nashville Life Together

The couple has established themselves firmly in Nashville, where they continue their respective careers while building their relationship. Nicole works as a marketing advisor, while Chris operates as a business coach, according to Buzzfeed.

Beyond their professional lives, they share their home with three beloved dogs named Charlie, Kobe, and Kodah. The canines even have their own joint Instagram account. Nicole mentions that their pets seem to sense the joy surrounding the pregnancy news.

“Chris has already been amazing throughout this pregnancy, and I’m excited to see him be the most wonderful father,” Nicole told People. “Our dogs are also thrilled — not that they know what’s going on but they know their mama and dada extra happy lately.”

The couple has also maintained strong friendships with their fellow cast members from season 16. Nicole recently launched a podcast called “D-List Diaries” with castmates Kirsten Grimes and Gina Micheletti, exploring life after reality TV.
