Kim Kardashian Wants Another 10 Years Before Becoming a ‘Momager’

In the most recent episode of “The Kardashians,” Kim Kardashian confides in Khloe that North was offered to sing a song for “The Lion King” at the Hollywood Bowl. While she contemplates the pros and cons of letting her do it, she’s emphatic about what she won’t be doing. “But, guess what? This momager isn’t taking 10%,” she tells a laughing Khloe about their mom, Kris Jenner, and her infamous 10% fee.

Kim Worries Her Career is Done if North Keeps Getting Offers

As the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, North has shown from a young age that she’s very comfortable performing. But being asked to sing a song at the “Lion King’s” Hollywood Bowl show is much different than sharing videos from her and her mom’s joint TikTok or rapping on her dad’s album. Kim is all too aware of what this could mean, groaning to Khloe, “I really wasn’t planning on being a momager for, like, another 10 years!”

Kim has spent the past two decades doing the family’s reality show and starting various businesses, such as SKIMS. She also dove into the acting world with her role in the most recent season of “American Horror Story” and is appearing in the upcoming series “All’s Fair.” She had hoped to keep working on her own projects for another ten years, but if North keeps getting more offers, she realizes that may not happen.

“Every day that she is busy doing something is a day that I can’t work,” Kim acknowledges. “Because she’s not doing anything without me being right there the whole time.”

Kim Suddenly Realizes That She’s Becoming Like Her Mother

“The number one job of being a momager is always being a mom first,” Kim told the cameras. “But, when my mom walks into a room, and I’m getting ready, and we’re going out somewhere, without fail, she’ll say, ‘Do you have any powder?’ to my glam team or, ‘Do — How’s my lip?’ You know? “Do I need to fix my hair?” And I’m always like, ‘Mom, it’s not always about you. It’s like, my glam team.'”

But then, while waiting in North’s dressing room, Kim began asking North’s glam team the same questions. “And I was like, I’m Kris Jenner! Oh my God, I’m Kris Jenner! What’s happening?” she gasped, realizing the terrifying truth. “God, I can’t ever complain about my mom again.”

Many spend much of their youth naming how they won’t be like their parents. It turns out, Kim may have more in common with her mother than she realized. Her decision not to charge the same 10% fee that her mom charged her and her siblings may be her small way of distinguishing herself.
