In October 2016, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint at the Hôtel de Pourtalès, also known as the No Address Hotel, in Paris while she was there for Paris Fashion Week.
And now, nearly 10 years later, a trial will be held from April 28 to May 23, E! News reports.
During the robbery, Kardashian was placed in the bathtub, gagged and tied up with cables and tape, while the robbers stole over $10 million worth of jewelry.
10 people were charged in connection with the break-ins, being accused of armed robbery, kidnapping, along with other criminal charges. According to NBC News, the defendants include Aomar “Old Omar” Ait Khedache, his son Harminy, Didier “Blue Eyes” Dubreucq, Gary Madar, Christiane Glotin, and Yunice Abbas.
Kim Kardashian Will Testify on May 13

Kim Kardashian is scheduled to take the stand on May 13 in her Paris robbery trial.
In the French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche published in 2017, a transcript of Kardashian’s verbal statement to French police was included, which E! News transcribed.
She told police that the robbery took place at 4:30 a.m. while she was just in a bathrobe. The robbers wore jackets that read “Police,” and one had a ski mask. They took all her jewelry, and after they left her room, Kardashian removed most of her constraints and went to her friend’s room. That’s where she called her sister, Kourtney Kardashian.
Suspect in Kim Kardashian Paris Robbery Dies Before Trial

The Daily Mail reported on April 27 that one of the suspects in Kardashian’s Paris robbery has died ahead of the trial.
Marceau Baum-Gertner was “allegedly responsible for finding buyers for the American’s prized possessions.” The report adds that cause of death hasn’t been released, but it was unexpected.
Baum-Gertner had not named any associates prior to the trial.
Kim Kardashian Opened Up About How The Robbery Affected Her Mental Health
During a 2018 appearance on Alec Baldwin’s talk show, Kardashian opened up about the aftermath of the Paris robbery and how that affected her mental health.
“For a good year, I almost lost myself,” she said. “I was never depressed, but I wasn’t motivated to get up and work like I used to. It shook me.”
“Even though it was horrific and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone, it really did deeply change me to where now I feel like I can get back to myself,” Kardashian added. “There was a lot of me that measured who I was by how much I had. I thought, ‘Oh, I’m worth so much.’ That needed to change in me.
