Kim Kardashian Struts the Runway in Iconic Elizabeth Taylor Look [VIDEO]

Kim Kardashian made a dazzling return to the runway on Wednesday, July 9, modeling for Balenciaga’s fall 2025 couture show in Paris.

The reality star and Skims founder paid homage to one of her longtime idols, Elizabeth Taylor, by wearing a look inspired by the late Hollywood legend — including a pair of diamond earrings once worn by Taylor herself.

Jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz, a close friend of the Kardashian family, curated the striking accessories. Per Page Six, Schwartz acquired the Mike Todd Diamond Pendant Earrings at auction for $374,500, as listed in a 2011 Christie’s catalog. She also created two diamond necklaces totaling nearly 250 carats for the occasion.

Kardashian’s ensemble included a form-fitting beige slip dress trimmed with lace — a clear nod to Taylor’s famous outfit in the 1958 film “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.” She completed the look with matching pumps and a neutral fur coat.

Honoring Elizabeth Taylor’s Legacy

Kardashian has long admired Elizabeth Taylor. In 2011, she conducted the actress’s final interview for Harper’s Bazaar shortly before Taylor’s death. Reflecting on that experience during a BBC interview last year, Kardashian said, “I was always drawn to Elizabeth Taylor. We were actually supposed to meet up for tea at her house, and then she fell ill.”

“She understood her power and her beauty,” Kardashian added. “We were talking about fighting for people.”

Kardashian shared photos and video from the show in an Instagram carousel, captioning the post: “Walking Demna’s last Balenciaga Couture show dripping in Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and wearing Elizabeth Taylor’s own diamond earrings from her private collection.”

Her mother, Kris Jenner, commented, “GORGEOUS!!!!! SOOOO STUNNING!!!!!!!!” while friend Lala Anthony added, “Love 😍😍😍😍.” Fans also flooded the comments, with one writing, “The last slide! You are a true Hollywood icon Kimmy!”

This marks Kardashian’s second time walking for Balenciaga. She made her runway debut with the fashion house in 2022 and was named a brand ambassador in 2024. This show was particularly notable as it served as creative director Demna’s final couture presentation before he transitions to Gucci.

Also in attendance were Lauren Sánchez — fresh from her wedding to Jeff Bezos — along with Lorde, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts and her daughter Kai.

Earlier in the week, Kardashian was spotted in Paris wearing a vibrant pink dress paired with Balenciaga’s signature pantaboots. She also debuted a T-shirt printed with her own face as part of the new collection.
