Despite Making His ‘Kardashians’ Debut, Don’t Plan to See Rocky’s Face Soon

The world may have grown accustomed to seeing all of Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim Kardashian’s kids appear on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and Hulu’s “The Kardashians” over the years, but don’t expect to see Rocky Thirteen Barker, Kourtney and Travis Barker’s 15-month-old son, get the same amount of screentime. While he finally made his debut on the family’s show, there’s a reason his face wasn’t shown.

The Barkers’ Plan to Keep Rocky Out of the Spotlight

E! News reported that Season 6, Episode 2 of “The Kardashians” shows the Barkers taking their blended family to the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, and little Rocky is finally introduced to viewers. But, despite him being front and center, the child’s face is blurred. Travis and Kourtney have spoken out about wanting to keep their youngest child as far from their fame as possible.

“If I could do everything different, I would have done the same thing with my [older] kids,” Travis told WSJ in a September 2024 interview. “I think it’s weird to grow up and you’re 15 or 12, and you’re like, ‘Mom, you posted this of me?’” Kourtney, likewise, told the podcast “Not Skinny But Not Fat” in 2022 “I want my kids to be kids. I crave normalcy as much as we can have it.”

Rocky Isn’t the Only Sibling Staying Out of the Limelight

While North West, Penelope Disick, and many of the other kids have become social media fixtures, some show hesitancy towards all the attention. While Mason Disick appeared on Kourtney’s Instagram recently to celebrate the holidays, his appearances have diminished compared to his siblings. Kourtney admitted on the podcast that when it comes to social media, “He [Mason] doesn’t love it.”

Although the 15-year-old briefly joined Instagram in 2020, he deleted it and didn’t create a new Instagram account until May 2024. During his stint, he hopped onto Instagram live without his parents’ knowledge — an experience he learned much from. E! News posted a screenshot of a text he wrote to Kim Kardashian after his cousin, North, did the same thing a year later. “Hi I don’t wanna disrespect north but I don’t think she should do the lives unless someone is with her because people are always screen recording and she might tell information that isn’t correct and stuff like that, that she will regret I did the exact same thing as she did. I would do the lives and now I regret saying one of the things that I said,” he wrote, before adding “Just in case for safety.”
