Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s once high-profile romance takes center stage in an upcoming documentary offering a rare, behind-the-scenes look at their relationship.
In the newly released trailer for “In Whose Name?,” Kardashian is seen in an emotional moment with West, now known as Ye, telling him, “Your personality was not like this a few years ago.”
‘In Whose Name?’ Drops Trailer
The trailer for “In Whose Name?” was released this week. In it, West, who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but Page Six stated he later claimed it was autism, says that he has been off his meds for “five months now.”
In another heartfelt moment, Kardashian can be seen trying to reassure West after he passionately declares, “Never tell me I’m gonna wake up one day and have nothing!”
She gently responds, “We can talk about that later, but,” before West energetically cuts in, “It ain’t no but!”
In the trailer, we also get a glimpse into West’s run for president. He can also be seen breaking down in tears during one of his Sunday Service spiritual gatherings he hosted back in 2019.
West also talks about the medications he is on, saying they either destroy him or he destroys it. He adds, “They’re killing our ability to think outside the box!”
The trailer comes to an end with West saying, “You know the best thing about being an artist and bipolar? Anything you do and say is an art piece.”
Where Can You Watch the Kanye West Documentary?
The documentary is directed by Nicolas Ballesteros, who was able to get intimate footage of West over six years. “In Whose Name?” will give viewers a chance to see that footage on the big screen.
According to Deadline, the documentary will be released by AMSI Entertainment on September 19. It will be released on about 1,000 screens in partnership with AMC, Regal, and Cinemark theater chains.
For now, the only place to watch this documentary in full will be in theaters starting September 19. No details on streaming options are available right now.
A United Front for Their Kids
Despite Kim, 44, and Kanye, 48, ending their marriage, the duo has been able to put up a united front for the sake of their kids. They share four kids together: North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6.
Both Kim and Kanye attended North’s performance in “The Lion King” at the Hollywood Bowl in May 2024. It was shown during an episode of “The Kardashians.” During the episode, Kim said in a confessional interview, “Kanye and I want the best for the kids, so any time we’re here supporting our child, it’s always good vibes.”
