Top 10 Most Successful HGTV Stars

Their shows on HGTV have turned Jenny and Dave Marrs, Erin and Ben Napier, Ty Pennington, Drew and Jonathan Scott, Christina Haack, Tarek El Moussa and a long list of others into household names.

They’ve also turned them into millionaires.

But which designers have fashioned the biggest fortune?

We got out our calculators and did a little research to rank the 10 richest HGTV stars.

10. Ben & Erin Napier

With both their original show “Home Town” and spin off “Home Town Takeover” among HGTV’s highest rated shows, Ben and Erin Napier are worth an estimated $4 million according to celebritynetworth.com.

In addition to their HGTV shows, the Napiers own several businesses in their hometown of Laurel, Mississippi. That includes Ben’s furniture building enterprise Scotsman Manufacturing Company, and also the Laurel Mercantile.

They have lines of wallpaper and lighting and a string of other endorsement deals that add to their bottom line.

Erin has also written a book called “Heirloom Rooms.”

9. Dave & Jenny Marrs

According to Parade, Dave and Jenny Marrs are worth an estimated $5 million dollars.

But truth be told, that figure is likely in need of an update. The “Fixer to Fabulous” stars have a recent string of endorsement deals with everything from Stouffer’s mac n’ cheese to companies that make building materials, hoses, a shower installer and an air conditioning company, among others.

The couple have also opened several businesses in their hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas, including Marrs on Main and Marrs Mercantile.

Add to that, Jenny Marrs is about to drop a new book October 7 titled “Trust God, Love People.” Jenny describes the book as, “my heart on the page and I am so proud of it while also holding it loosely. Who knows what God will do with the stories He’s entrusted me with.”

All of that adds up to a growing fortune that is likely to move this pair up the list of the richest HGTV stars.

8. (TIE) Ty Pennington and David Visentin

It’s only fitting that “Rock the Block” host Ty Pennington would be TIED for the 8th spot with a net worth of $6 million. In addition to hosting HGTV’s most popular competition show “Rock the Block” for the last six seasons, Ty lends his handsome face to string of endorsement deals.

Those include building materials and even a credit card.

“Love It or List It” star David Visentin is also listed with a net worth of $6 million. The realtor has largely built his fortune on his long-running show, which he has starred in since 2008. David has appeared in more than 225 episodes of “Love It or List It” and counting.

7. (TIE) Hilary Farr and Nicole Curtis

Interestingly enough, David Visentin’s former co-host on “Love It or List It” may not be on the show any more, but Hilary Farr has still managed to build a bigger net worth than him.

Hilary has a listed net worth of $8 million for not just “Love It or List It” but other HGTV shows like “Tough Love With Hilary Farr.” She’s also done some acting. Believe it or not, Hilary was in the 1975 cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” playing bride Betty Munroe.

It’s a spot Hilary shares with “Rehab Addict” Nicole Curtis. Nicole serves as executive producer of her show. She also runs her own design firm.

Nicole also wrote the New York Times bestseller “Better Than New: Lessons I’ve Learned from Saving Old Homes.”

It all adds up to an estimated net worth of $8 million.

6. Jonathan Knight

Jonathan Knight just announced the cancellation of his HGTV show “Farmhouse Fixer,” after three seasons. He also wrapped up his second time appearing on HGTV’s highest-rated competition show, “Rock the Block.”

But the designer and singer is keeping busy with his much greater source of wealth- as a member of “New Kids on the Block.” The band is currently performing a Las Vegas residency at the MGM Grand that will likely add to Jonathan’s estimated $14 million fortune.

5. Tarek El Moussa

Tarek El Moussa rose to fame on HGTV with “Flip or Flop,” but has gone on to star in competition show “The Flip Off” that pitted he and second wife Heather Rae El Moussa against his ex-wife Christina Haack.

El Moussa also stars with his second wife in “The Flipping El Moussas” and has his own show, “Flipping 101,” where he schools first-time flippers in how to make a profit.

Tarek has also used everything he’s learned flipping houses to launch his real estate investment business, TEM Capitol.

All of that adds up to an estimated net worth of $15 million.

4. Bryan & Sarah Baeumler

Canadian couple Bryan and Sarah Baeumler have had a number of successful series on HGTV, including “Renovation Island” and “Renovation Inc.” The couple also stars in a number of shows on HGTV Canada.

They continue to own and operate their resort, Cerula Mar, that was featured on “Renovation Island.” And they operate very successful renovation and construction firms. Their Instagram accounts feature several endorsement deals as well.

All of that adds up to an estimated net worth of a whopping $20 million.

3. Christina Haack

She may’ve lost out to ex-husband Tarek El Moussa in “The Flip Off,” but when it comes to net worth, Christina Haack is winning.

In addition to “The Flip Off” and her original rise to fame in “Flip or Flop” while married to Tarek, Christina stars in “Christina on the Coast.” She also had a spin-off with now third ex-husband Josh Hall called “Christina in the Country.”

Christina has been smart about endorsement deals, even teaming up with Tarek El Moussa’s second wife Heather Rae El Moussa to help her promote her beauty products.

And while she’s no doubt lost some of her fortune in three divorces, Christina still has an estimated net worth of $25 million.

2. Chip & Joanna Gaines

Chip and Joanna Gaines‘ well-known rise to fame with HGTV hit “Fixer Upper” was just the beginning.

The couple has since parlayed their fame into the Magnolia empire, which includes multiple businesses, their own tv network, books, a magazine and a lines of home decor products.

It all adds up to an estimated net worth of $50 million.

1. (TIE) Drew & Jonathan Scott

It’s only fitting that twins Drew and Jonathan Scott would share the top spot for the richest HGTV stars.

The Property Brothers have a long list of HGTV hits to their credit, including not just “The Property Brothers,” but also “Forever Home,” “Don’t Hate Your House,” “Brother vs. Brother,” “Celebrity IOU,” “Backed By the Bros” and the upcoming “Chasing the West.”

The brothers have endorsement deals and collabs with Rooms to Go, their own wallpaper and furniture lines, and more.

The bottom line is their bottom line is pretty impressive, with an estimated net worth of $100 million EACH.
