Living on a farm, Dave and Jenny Marrs know to expect the unexpected. So when a neighbor’s cow was walking around while the crew for HGTV’s “Fixer to Fabulous” filmed in the barn, nobody batted an eye.
“Seeing a cow on the driveway is not incredibly unusual,” Jenny Marrs said in a video of the event posted to Instagram.
Because, as Dave Marrs explained, a cow is going to do what a cow is going to do.
“Cows are agile fellows,” Dave Marrs said. “If they want to jump a fence, they can jump it.”
The Marrs family quickly took action, herding the cow back into its enclosure.
“Our neighbors would do the exact same thing for us,” Dave Marrs said.
“And have, many times,” Jenny Marrs added.
But the cow immediately went to a low spot in the fence and jumped over it again.
“Sometimes cows don’t do what you want them to,” Dave Marrs said. “It’s the strangest thing.”
Dave & Jenny Marrs Give Fans Glimpse of ‘Life on the Farm’
On the episode of “Fixer to Fabulous” airing February 25, the Marrs help a family forced to deal with the ultimate unexpected event. As Jenny Marrs wrote in the caption for the Instagram video, “we work on a generational family home that was devastated when the tornadoes ripped through town last year.”
“This was such a special project for us as our community reeled from the aftermath of the storms and we set out to help rebuild one home at a time. 🤍”
A previous article by EntertainmentNOW amplified Jenny and Dave Marrs discussing the impact of the tornadoes that upended Bentonville, Arkansas, on May 26, 2024. In a January 2025 interview with TV Insider, Jenny Marrs described how the storms affected their community and forced changes to the ongoing season of “Fixer to Fabulous.”
“We had 12 tornados hit our town in one night. It really impacted so many families across our community. With that, a lot of our projects changed,” Jenny Marrs said during the interview. “We actually started a remodel and did the walk-through and were about to start when a tornado hit. We went from doing a kitchen, living room, and bedroom to completely renovating the entire house and bringing it down to the studs. There was a hole in the roof and a tree through it. That was one of several that were involved with the tornados. The tornadoes coming through really changed the season for us as far as the scale of projects.”

Fans of the show said they could not wait to watch, with one stating, “I’ll be tuned in and sure it will be another spectacular episode but please, for the love of God, don’t make me cry!! Luv u all!!
