Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa just bought a new house, and they’re giving fans a full tour of the place. Check out what the HGTV stars have in mind for their new home, including design and paint color ideas.
Tarek & Heather Rae El Moussa Take Fans Inside Their New Home
On June 24, Tarek & Heather Rae shared a video on Instagram that gave an inside look at the new house before they move in. They toured the space and gave some insight into how they’ll be updating it with their own style choices.
“If you know us, you knew we weren’t going to be leaving these walls white … welcome to the official start of our home series! 😁🏡” Heather Rae shared in the caption. “Comment below what you want to see us feature first!”
“We fell in love with this house and how open it is,” Heather Rae said in the video. “When we walked in, it was just like high ceilings, everything was open.”
She pointed out a kitchen area where they will place two fridges — “one for wine, one for like, kids’ drinks” — as well as floating shelves, “cool wallpaper,” and lighting.
“This wall and this lighting, we will do something really cool in here, probably a wood feature or plaster. We don’t know yet, exactly,” she said in the living room space.
In the bedroom, the HGTV star showed off the massive closet space as well as an area to sit and apply makeup. Tarek took over for a moment to share where a big TV will be placed in the bedroom.
Heather Rae also showed the kids’ rooms and shared her vision for their spaces.
Tarek noted, “Just so you guys know, we closed yesterday at 5 p.m. and they started work today at 8 a.m.”
Heather Rae Reveals 1 Area They ‘Don’t Love’
Heather Rae also revealed the room they like the least — a powder room. “Probably the only thing we don’t love about the house, just because blue is like a new color for me to get into. It’s not my vibe, so we’re going to redo the tile, probably with a fluted tile in here and then we’re going to paint,” she explained.
The HGTV star pointed out “a super cute area” for the kids to store shoes, backpacks, and coats.
Heather Rae is planning to paint the laundry room and gave an idea of how they will set up an office space for meetings.
Tarek interjected, “What meetings? That’s my TV wall.”
She joked, “I’m gonna lock him out … change the locks until the house is done.”
She also showed off the backyard, which has a pool, a place for a fire pit, and a small yard.
