Tarek El Moussa’s Son Wants Another Brother

Tarek El Moussa’s son with Christina Haack says he wants Tarek and second wife Heather Rae El Moussa to have another baby.

In an interview with E News, nine-year-old Brayden was sitting between his dad Tarek and stepmom Heather when he announced, “Well, I want another kid, just because.. to get Tristan away from me, a little bit farther. So he can hang out with his other brother and I won’t get blamed for everything.”

While Heather’s eyes got wide when Brayden said he wanted “another kid,” both Heather and Tarek cracked up when he gave his reasons.

Tarek shares Brayden and his 14-year-old sister Taylor with ex-wife Christina Haack. Tarek and Heather also share two-and-a-half year old Tristan. And Brayden has a third sibling, five-year-old Hudson, who is the son of Christina Haack and second ex-husband Ant Anstead.

“We already got four kids,” said Brayden in the interview. “We just need one more.”

Heather El Moussa Has Been Open About Wanting Another Baby

Brayden has a staunch ally in stepmom Heather Rae El Moussa when it comes to wanting another sibling.

Heather has been open about wanting to have another child. And she’s been equally transparent that she and husband Tarek are not on the same page about that.

In an Instagram post, she wrote, “To be honest, I was never one of those girls who dreamed about her wedding or planned how many kids she wanted. There was even a time in my life when I didn’t think it would happen for me. I never imagined I’d date a man who already had children. And even when Tarek and I decided to have a baby, I wasn’t sure how becoming a mama would affect me—or how incredibly life-changing it would be, in a way that’s hard to even explain.”

But now the couple find themselves at odds over having more.

In a Spring episode of the “Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad” podcast, Heather told the hosts, “(Tristan) is, like, the light of my life. It makes me so happy. I’m like, ‘How could I not want more? But my husband is very much done. So we’re very different on what we want for our future, which is hard.”

Tarek and Heather Continue to Negotiate What’s Next

Whether they end up expanding their family or not, Heather says she and Tarek are on the same page about parenting overall.

On Father’s Day, Heather posted a picture on Instagram of Tarek holding a then-baby Tristan, writing, “Happy Father’s Day to the best dada to Tay, Bray & Tristan. You show up to protect us with everything you’ve got, every single day for me as a partner and for all three of the babies, and I’m so proud to be doing this wild, but beautiful life with you.
It’s rare to parent so universal and parallel like we do. You are fun, always have words of wisdom, and teaching moments. And I’m so thankful to be with someone who constantly wants to work on being a better version of himself for your family and for yourself. When outside noise creeps in remember what really matters in our life.

In May, Heather told E News that negotiations with Tarek over having another baby continue. “We’re in the see what happens phase. I have been vocal, probably more than my husband would like, that I would love to have another baby,”
