Tarek El Moussa Shares Real Estate Advice for Home Sellers

Tarek El Moussa is putting his HGTV fame and flipping expertise to use in a new way— directly helping struggling home sellers protect their equity.

And he’s even reaching out personally to some!

In a new video posted to Tarek’s Instagram account, the “Flip Off” star speaks with a widowed homeowner facing the possibility of two mortgages and no real plan from her agents.

In the post, Tarek writes, “Just spoke with a seller who’s stuck. Her husband passed recently, she’s potentially facing two house payments 🏠🏠, and being told to “just list it” — with no real plan.

This is exactly what’s wrong with the real estate industry 🚫. No strategy, no real support. Meanwhile, homeowners are losing tens (sometimes hundreds) of thousands 💸 in equity they’ve spent years building.

If you’re a seller in 2025, you’re likely sitting on the most equity you’ve ever had 📈. Don’t give it away.

If you want to protect your equity and work with someone who actually cares about your bottom line — COMMENT “sell” ⬇️ and my team will reach out.

You can also catch my live seller coaching sessions on TikTok Live 🎥 — where I break down real strategies that actually work.”

Tarek has posted other videos of phone calls with sellers on his Instagram account in addition to offering real-time advice on his TikTok Lives.

Tarek El Moussa Says Money Means Nothing Compared to Health

Tarek El Moussa has been promoting his new real estate investing firm TEM Capital on his Instagram account.

In fact, El Moussa revealed on the “Trading Secrets” podcast with Jason Tartick in April that his real estate business brings in an average of $675,000 in income per month.

“Right now, we are probably averaging in Southern California about 15 transactions a month, and we’re wholesaling,” he said on the podcast. “Those 15 transactions, our average profit per deal, I think, comes in at about $45,000.”

But in a new podcast, he admits that his bottom line means nothing without his health.

Talking to fitness guru Thomas DeLauer, Tarek explains how he was finally experiencing real success for the first time in 2013 with season one of his first HGTV show, “Flip or Flop” with now ex-wife Christina Haack. A nurse watching the show noticed a lump on his neck and wrote him. That led to a diagnosis of thyroid cancer. Then a few months later, he got a second diagnosis of testicular cancer.

“I was more successful than I had ever imagined I would be. I was making more money that I ever thought I would make. And I thought I was going to die,” he told DeLauer.

“So that’s when I really, really realized that money doesn’t mean s*** if you don’t have your health,” Tarek went on.
