Tarek El Moussa Isn’t Flipping Over Flipping Anymore

Flipping houses may be the thing that made Tarek El Moussa a star, but he’s not flipping over the idea of continuing to do that for a living.

The HGTV star put up an Instagram post where he admits that while flipping houses changed his life, it’s “a grind.”

In the post, “The Flip Off” designer writes, “Long days, high pressure, and you don’t get paid till the job’s done. That’s the reality most people don’t see.”

Tarek captioned the video, “If I could go back to my first flip, this is what I would tell myself.”

But that doesn’t mean Tarek El Moussa has lost his love for real estate.

In fact, while sitting on a recent discussion panel with other real estate experts, Tarek told the crowd, “I’m obsessed with real estate. I buy houses, I fix houses, I have houses all over the country. I buy apartments, I fix apartments, I build apartments, I build self-storage. I’m obsessed with real estate, obsessed with learning and I think the future is very exciting.”

Heather El Moussa Doesn’t Share Her Husband’s Weariness With Flipping Houses

Tarek El Moussa’s wife Heather Rae El Moussa doesn’t share her husband’s weariness with flipping houses.

In fact, even though HGTV didn’t renew the couple’s “The Flipping El Moussas” series for another season, Heather told Us Weekly, “I love filming ‘The Flip Off’ and ‘Flipping El Moussas,’ and I love flipping houses.

But Heather says they just don’t know what’s to come in their relationship with HGTV.

“Obviously, I do know they are going through big internal changes, so I’m not quite sure what’s going on there. I don’t have a statement for that, but I can say how much I’ve enjoyed being on HGTV,” Heather told Us.

In fact, she indicated that there are even question marks surrounding season two of “The Flip Off,” which was renewed by HGTV.

“Anything could happen. To be honest, it was a great show and it still is a great show. I know that the fans loved it, and Tarek and I really, really enjoyed filming that show. It’s definitely a challenging market right now—and with real estate in general,” she said.

“I do know the fans would love to see it back,” the designer went on. “And all three of us would love to see it back. We will definitely throw that idea around if Season 2 comes about. But I love my partners and my husband.”

In fact, Heather says she’s open to new projects.

“There’s so many other shows that I would love to do. I would love to get into hosting, and I’m definitely open to [new opportunities]. I’ve been on TV for many, many years. I modeled, I shot some commercials, and there’s a lot to me that I would love to tap into,” admitted Heather.
