HGTV Stars Reveal Their Most-Wanted Holiday Party Guests & Their Answers Might Surprise You

When HGTV asked some of its biggest stars to name a couple of famous figures, dead or alive, they’d most want to be guests at their holiday parties, the answers were fascinating and surprising. On December 18, 2024, the network posted a montage of their responses on social media.

The most popular answer given was Martha Stewart, who helmed her own HGTV show for two seasons, “Martha Knows Best,” which debuted in 2020. She was named as an ideal party guest by “Unsellable Houses” star Lyndsay Lamb, Eilyn Jimenez of “Divided by Design,” and Jasmine Roth of “Help! I Wrecked My House.”

Martha Stewart Wasn’t the Only Interesting Ideal Party Guest Named by HGTV Stars

In addition to Stewart, Lamb said her eclectic guest list would also include actor Keanu Reeves and the first president of the United States, George Washington.

“Oh, that would be fun,” her sister, Leslie Davis, quipped.

HGTV’s other set of twin stars, “Property Brothers” stars Drew and Jonathan Scott, worked out their ideal guest list together, with Drew beginning by stating, “I want to have Dolly Parton join. (We) could do karaoke.”

That inspired his twin to add, “Frank Sinatra, ’cause he could really knock out some Christmas carols.”

Drew then went in a completely different direction, naming the Abominable Snowman from the 1964 holiday classic “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” as one of his ideal party guests, which prompted Jonathan to name Sloth from “Goonies” as another addition to their invite list.

Jiminez, whom HGTV just announced will return in “Divided by Design” January 16, said that in addition to Stewart, she’d also love to have another recent HGTV star, Jeremiah Brent, at her holiday party.

Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson of “Married to Real Estate” also offered up an eclectic guest list, with Sherrod immediately naming Bob Marley and Jackson responding, “Ohhh, definitely!”

He then enthusiastically added late writer and civil rights activist James Baldwin to the guest list, which inspired Sherrod to suggest Albert Einstein, saying, “That would be great dinner conversation!”

“Renovation Aloha” stars Tristyn and Kamohai Kalama added their ideal guests, too, naming legendary Hawaiian swimmer and surfer Duke Kahanamoku, with Kamohai explaining he’s “such a big part of our culture here.”

Meanwhile, “Rock the Block” and “Battle on the Beach” host Ty Pennington named late comedian Robin Williams “because not only was he so funny, but he was just such a good human being” and late guitar legend Jimi Hendrix to “play some live music” and because he was always “the life of the party.”

In a separate video HGTV shared, Roth of “Help! I Wrecked My House” gave a wild trio of ideal party guests with Stewart “for sure” at the same dinner table as Margot and Todd, the fictional characters in “Christmas Vacation.”
