Nicole Curtis Promises ‘Revenge’ on New ‘Rehab Addict’ Season

Nicole Curtis is returning to HGTV with her popular series “Rehab Addict” — and she’s making it known she has revenge in mind. Fans love her commitment to restoring homes to their old glory and preserving their original features.

Nicole Curtis Shares ‘Revenge’ Plans in New Season of ‘Rehab Addict’

On June 12, Curtis took to Instagram to give fans her perspective on the new season of “Rehab Addict.

“In 2022, I retired from HGTV,” she wrote in the caption. “I saw a little house online that was so flipped and then I saw ‘1890.’ I was livid and I decided that the best way to get revenge on all these terrible flippers and developers was to buy this poor thing … it wasn’t rational — it was just pure gut.”

Curtis continued, “June 24th — I’m back and yes, it’s a new season of ‘Rehab Addict’ — think of it as the ‘Revenge of the Nikki’ series.”

She noted, “Btw, this isn’t real brick — YOU SHOULD NEVER PAINT REAL BRICK (unless it’s the snake patten on a 1983 trilevel).”

The HGTV star added, “Sometimes you just gotta be the miracle to an old house trapped in trendy, grey flipper crap.”

Fans lit up the comments with praise for the work Curtis does. “You are a national treasure and an inspiration to all of us nostalgia addicts,” one person wrote.

Another fan commented, “Glad you’re back. Love the old homes and people who save them.”

Others shared, “I cannot WAIT!!! I’ve waited for years” and “I’m glad you’re back Nicole, can’t wait to see your beautiful work and beautiful historic houses.”

“I am so saddened by the new trend of old house flipping,” one fan wrote. “Painting all of the beautiful wood, and everything is gray and white.”

Nicole Curtis Explains Her Journey Back to HGTV

In a June 4 Instagram post, Curtis shared more about her journey back to HGTV.

“Background: July 16, 2022 — Paris. That’s how this New Season of ‘Rehab Addict’ came about,” she wrote in the caption. “After a life-altering experience, 3 weeks of a combo of bed rest & absolute depths of misery, I felt halfway decent.”

She continued, “It was 6 pm in Detroit & I booked a flight to Corfu (departing at 7:30). Long story short, mad dash to airports. Realized I left my wallet at home as I was in the air. Landed in Pars (had a 1 day layover) & in just my ratty running outfit and $100 decided to make the most of it.”

“I ran the Eiffel Tower, biked the Champs Elysees, took myself to a fancy dinner (after a Western union from Josh) and BOUGHT a house in Wyoming,” Curtis shared. “Couldn’t make that up, if I tried.”

She chalked it up to “one of those moments where I thought, ‘I need a change.'”

Curtis added, “The rest is history.”
