Food Network star Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond is sharing a sweet picture of her brand new granddaughter.

Drummond’s oldest daughter Alex gave birth to Sofia in mid-December.

And even at just a month old, Baby Sofia is already getting around! Alex and husband Mauricio took the newborn to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Drummond cheekily commented “Yes, it really “was” her first  rodeo. 😂”

Alex shared on her Instagram stories that she had a rodeo-themed outfit all planned for her little one. But Sofia spit up on it as they were walking out the door. She did sport safety headphones for much of the rodeo, which did the trick. In fact, Alex posted “new nap location unlocked.”

While the Drummond Ranch is in Oklahoma, the Texas outing was a family affair. Though Grandma Ree-Ree wasn’t in attendance at the rodeo, Alex’s siblings were. Paige and Bryce Drummond joined in the fun, along with Paige’s fiancé, David Andersen.

Ree Drummond Wishes She Lived Closer to New Grandbaby

Paige and her husband live in Dallas, Texas. And Drummond admits that has her fantasizing about moving to the Lone Star State.

In a recent blog post on her Pioneer Woman website, Drummond shared some pictures of her visit to spend time with Sofia. And she admitted that she’s been checking Zillow for houses near her granddaughter, even across the street!

In truth, Drummond says browsing Zillow is just a defense mechanism to make her feel better about the 5-hour distance between her and her new grandchild. The Food Network star calls an actual move “highly unlikely.” Still, she admits, every time Alex texts her a new picture of Sofia, her response is “OMGGGGGGG I can not handle this any longer. Moving to Dallas now.”
