Valentine’s Day is officially here! To celebrate the romantic holiday, we’ve compiled a list of HGTV couples that help viewers believe in love.
Here’s eight of our favorite HGTV couples of all time — in no particular order.
Nate Berkus & Jeremiah Brent
Nate Berkus and his husband of over 10 years, Jeremiah Brent, starred in the HGTV series, “The Nate & Jeremiah Home Project” and “Nate and Jeremiah: Save My House.”
While speaking to People magazine in February 2023, the couple, who share two children, Poppy and Oskar, explained why they believe their relationship has been a success.
“We both like each other. Which is really great when you are married to somebody,” said Brent to the publication.
Erin & Ben Napier
College sweethearts Erin and Ben Napier, of “Home Town” fame, wed in 2008. During a joint July 2024 interview on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” the couple, who are parents to two children Helen and Mae, shared their love story. Erin Napier said she had a major crush on her now-husband while they were both students at Jones County Junior College. She said she jumped at the chance to interview him as the yearbook design editor when Ben Napier was voted as one of “the 10 most interesting people on campus.”
Ben Napier also shared that he was secretly harboring a crush on Erin Napier. According to Erin Napier, she and Ben Napier hit it off during the yearbook interview and decided to get married “six days later.”
During a joint January 2022 interview with Access Hollywood, Erin Napier shared the secret to her long-lasting relationship.
“You should just always remember the people you were when you met. Like what were you so crazy about? You never give up on that,” said Erin Napier to the publication.
Chelsea & Cole DeBoer
“Down Home Fab” star Chelsea DeBoer met her husband, Cole DeBoer, while she was filming the MTV series, “Teen Mom 2.”
In a February 2024 appearance on the “Jennifer Hudson Show,” the DeBoers noted they “met at the gas station.” Cole DeBoer shared he was immediately taken by his now-wife when he saw her pumping gas. Chelsea DeBoer said that he didn’t waste time before sending her a DM.
The couple have three children together, Watson, Layne, and Walker. Cole DeBoer is also the stepfather to his wife’s eldest child, Aubree.
Keith Bynum & Evan Thomas
“Bargain Block” stars Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas have been together for 11 years. While speaking to Pride Today in October 2023, Bynum and Thomas discussed celebrating their 10th anniversary as a couple.
“10 years just evaporated, actually. I think back to where we started and where we are today — I just think about that first date. And if we had gone into that date, knowing where we’d be today, who would have ever imagined that?” said Bynum to the publication.
He also shared that he and Thomas celebrated their anniversary by purchasing “a place up north in Michigan.”
Mika & Brian Kleinschmidt
“100 Day Dream Home” stars Mika and Brian Kleinschmidt, who wed in 2015, opened up about working together as a married couple in a February 2024 interview on the “Jennifer Hudson Show.” Mika Kleinschmidt said the experience has “been enjoyable.”
“It’s got its ups and downs. But we kind of play off of each other on those days that I’m not 100 percent, he kind of steps in and carries me through,” said Mika Kleinschmidt during the interview.
Egypt Sherrod & Mike Jackson
Fans of “Married to Real Estate” appreciate Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson‘s chemistry. The couple, who have been married since 2010, shared why their relationship works during a February 2024 episode of the “Jennifer Hudson Show.”
“This is 19 years. We’re not a new couple. We are settled in. So we’ve got to keep it fun. You’ve got to keep it fun. You’ve got to keep it sexy. And this is my best friend,” said Sherrod.
Sherrod also shared that she and Jackson knew each other before they started dating. She said while she was working as a “radio personality in New York City,” she would often run into Jackson while he was “a club DJ.” Sherrod said she made a point to not get involved with Jackson, despite flirting with him because he knew “he’s cute.” She explained she was concerned that he would lead to heartbreak.
The couple, who have three children, Simone, Kendall, and Harper, said they finally romantically connected when they worked on flipping a house. She said that she needed help with construction and called her mentor to hire a contractor. Much to her surprise, Jackson showed up.
Tarek El Moussa & Heather Rae El Moussa
Heather Rae El Moussa and her husband of three years, Tarek El Moussa currently star in two HGTV series, “The Flipping El Moussas” and “The Flip Off.” In “The Flip Off,” the El Moussas compete against Tarek El Moussa’s ex-wife, Christina Haack, to see who can be a better house flipper.
During a joint January 2025 interview with Access Hollywood, Haack and the El Moussas spoke about their dynamic while filming “The Flip Off.” Heather Rae El Moussa and Haack shared that they got along with each other and often teased Tarek El Moussa.
Haack, the mother of Tarek El Moussa’s eldest children, Taylor and Brayden, also said the couple “were super supportive” as she navigated her separation from her third husband, Josh Hall, during the production of “The Flip Off.”
Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa welcomed their first child, Tristan, in 2023.
Dave & Jenny Marrs
“Fixer to Fabulous” stars Dave and Jenny Marrs opened up about balancing being HGTV personalities while raising their five children, Nathan, Ben, Sylvie, Charlotte, and Luke, in a January 2025 interview with TV Insider. Jenny Marrs said she and her husband have made an effort to take on less in their career to focus on their family.
“From a balance perspective and for us, there was a lot going on behind the scenes you won’t really see. It has been a crazy year. One choice we did make this year was to not do any other shows [besides ‘Fixer to Fabulous’]. In the past we’ve done, ‘Home Town Takeover’ or ‘Rock the Block,’ or our Italy spinoff. This year we scaled back because of the kids’ schedules and the fact they are getting older. We wanted to create more space in our calendars for them,” said Jenny Marrs to the publication
Chip & Joanna Gaines
Former HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines, who have five children, Drake, Ella, Duke, Emmie, and Crew, acknowledged that fans idolize their relationship in a May 2020 interview with E! News. Chip Gaines, who wed his wife in 2003, said he believes “anyone can have” a successful marriage like his own, as long as they adore their spouse.
“At the end of the day, I love Jo more than anything in the world. I think that when you start experimenting with this idea that I love something more than myself, and I’m an arrogant self-centered freak. I was not a person that was naturally built for marriage,” said Chip Gaines to the publication.
