Martha Stewart Introduces Newest Family Member

Martha Stewart just welcomed a new family member — and she’s absolutely beautiful! Stewart gave an introduction to her latest four-legged friend on Instagram, and fans were smitten with her new pet.

Martha Stewart Welcomes New Family Member: Meet Magnolia

Stewart took to Instagram on January 17 to introduce her fans to the new family pet. “Meet Magnolia, a beautiful four year old silver shaded Persian cat and the newest member of my family,” the former host of HGTV‘s “Martha Knows Best” shared.

Stewart continued, “I recently adopted her through @rocknrescue_ a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Bedford Hills, New York. Please consider adoption when looking for a pet and learn more about Magnolia on today’s @marthastewartblog.”

The lifestyle guru shared more about her Persian cat on the Martha Stewart blog. “I urge anyone looking for a pet to check out local rescues and shelters — there are so many desirable and wonderful animals waiting for homes,” she explained.

Stewart continued, “Last month, I heard about a young female Persian cat in need of adoption. She was under the care of Rock ‘N Rescue, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Bedford Hills, New York, not far from my farm. I love Persians and have been thinking of adding another to my family. I made an appointment to visit right away, and that same afternoon I took her with me back to Cantitoe Corners — her new ‘forever’ home.”

She shared a number of photos, including a pic of her at the Rock ‘N Rescue, which she noted is “completely run by volunteers who give so much of their time to fostering animals and providing them with good transitional care while waiting to be placed in permanent homes.”

Stewart also shared photos of the rescue operation and gave some background about their facility.

“I was eager to meet the four year old female Persian I heard so much about in texts and emails. I was directed to the front ‘cuddle’ room with large floor to ceiling windows. This room is used as a meeting area and animal therapy space,” she explained.

Stewart went on to explain that she renamed the cat Magnolia (she was originally named Angel). “She is a most lovely silver shaded Persian with beautiful golden-copper eyes and a friendly disposition,” Stewart explained.

Stewart’s fans sounded off with kind comments on the Instagram post. “That cat hit the jackpot,” one person noted. Another wrote, “Imagine being this cat and getting rescued/adopted by Martha Stewart!!!”
