More than a year after Hilary Farr shocked HGTV fans with news of her retirement from her long-running hit show “Love It or List It,” the network has announced that the show will return with a familiar face replacing Farr.
Former “Fix My Flip” star Page Turner will replace Farr in the 20th season of “Love It or List It,” People first reported. She will co-host the renewed series alongside realtor David Visentin, who’s been on the show since 2008 and filmed 258 episodes with Farr, per The Hollywood Reporter (THR).
‘Love It or List It’ Will Return in the Summer of 2025
Turner has had a frequent presence on HGTV in recent years, including competing on two seasons of HGTV’s “Rock the Block.”
“I’m overwhelmed with all the ‘feels’ when I think about how my time on the network has led me to ‘Love It or List It,’ Turner told Blavity after the announcement, who said she was a fan of the show long before she began her rise on HGTV. “It feels surreal—like a whirlwind of excitement and collision of emotions! I still get emotional every time I stop and think, ‘Wait, Page, YOU are the new co-host of ‘Love It or List It!'”
HGTV head of content Loren Ruch said in a statement of Turner, “Her extensive background in real estate and design will be a superpower as she enters into this celebrated real estate rivalry. We cannot wait to watch her give David a run for his money.”
The premise of the hit show won’t change with Turner’s arrival. According to HGTV, the new season of “Love It or List It” will feature eight hour-long episodes in which Turner “will go head-to-head with the series’ longtime real estate agent, David Visentin, to help homeowners who are fed up with their digs.”
Just as Farr did on the show, Page will renovate a “lackluster property” into the home of her clients’ dreams while Visentin takes them to homes on the market they might like better than their renovated digs. At the end of the show, the homeowners must decide if they’re going to list their newly-remodeled home or stay put and “love it.”
Page Turner Filmed New Season of ‘Love It or List It’ in Toronto
Beginning in May 2024, Turner shared many Instagram posts from Toronto, where “Love It or List It” is typically filmed, but she didn’t reveal what she was working on. She told Blavity that working with Visentin has been “incredible.
“Not only is he one of the kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, but he’s also a sharp, quick-witted competitor who really knows how to connect with the opposing homeowners and tap into their wants and needs,” she said. “And let’s be honest, I love a good challenge! I’m truly honored to step into such an iconic, beloved show as co-host and designer.”
“It’s an honor and opportunity I hold close to my heart, and I can’t wait to share my designs and transformations with the world,” Turner added, “while, of course, turning up the heat in friendly competition with David!”
HGTV announced Farr’s departure from “Love It or List It” in December 2023. In a release at the time, Farr said, “It’s been a wonderful 12 years. I’m so grateful to the network for their support and to my fans who have stayed loyal and true. David and I will remain friends forever and I expect him to be as fabulously and hilariously annoying as ever.”
