Property Brother Channels Inner ‘Super Power’ For Fun Fan Interaction

We all know that the Property Brothers’ biggest super power is transforming problem homes into beautiful spaces, but Jonathan Scott might be wishing for something a little more cinematic.

The HGTV star recently staged an Instagram contest, asking fans to comment on “what superpower would make my job easier” to get a chance to win official Superman gift box.

The box was crammed full of Superman goodies including hats, shirts, a stuffed toy version of Krypto the dog, comics and more.

Jonathan promised followers that he would personally choose the winning comment “based on creativity and engagement.”

And the contest took off faster than a speeding bullet, generating almost five-thousand comments before Jonathan was forced to close the contest to more.

Jonathan Scott Picks a Winner in Super Power Instagram Contest

True to his word, Jonathan Scott sifted through the thousands of comments giving suggestions on the perfect superpower for the Property Brother.

In an Instagram post announcing the contest winner, Jonathan wrote, “You all had such SUPER suggestions that it was hard to only pick one! 🦸🏻‍♂️💥”

Jonathan highlighted a few suggestions he liked in the Instagram video, including “being able to clone yourself” and “the power of instant renovation.” Another suggested the power to turn all his coworkers into super heroes as well.

But Jonathan’s favorite suggestion was from a fan in Los Angeles who suggested Jonathan would benefit most from x-ray vision “so you could spot leaky pipes, faulty wiring and ancient squirrel nests inside the walls.”

Property Brothers Are the Super Heroes of HGTV

Jonathan Scott may not have x-ray vision, but he and twin brother Drew Scott continue to be the super heroes of the HGTV lineup.

In a time when HGTV has canceled a number of its other series, Drew and brother Jonathan continue to be the network’s most successful stars. Each brother has a net worth of $100 million according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Drew and brother Jonathan Scott will debut their new HGTV show “Chasing the West” on Wednesday, July 30, and launch a second season of “Don’t Hate Your House With the Property Brothers” later this year.

The bros are also casting for another upcoming new HGTV show, called “Top of the Block.”

And their original show “The Property Brothers” is the most popular HGTV show in 13 states-  including Connecticut, Idaho, Montana, New York, North and South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia.

That’s more than double of any other show.
