Joanna Gaines is well-known for her beautiful interior designs, but the HGTV star recently took to Instagram to give fans a rare look at a special part of her own property. In a well-curated reel, Gaines shows off her truly stunning garden, including plenty of envy-inducing shots of flowers.
Several fans flocked to the post’s comments section to share their love of Gaines’ gorgeous flowers. “This is so beautiful!!! I have just started cut flower gardening and I’m obsessed!” one fan wrote. Others left heart and flower emojis, and some even wagered guesses about some of the flower varieties Gaines featured.
Gaines Paid Tribute to a Beloved Royal in The Post

Gaines captioned the reel, “To Observe. To learn. To grow. To love.” This simple but powerful caption is an abbreviated version of an inspirational quote by Queen Elizabeth II, which fans can hear playing in the background of the video. “We are just passing through,” the late queen says. “Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love. And then we return home.”
Several netizens loved this subtle reference to the late monarch, such as one who commented: “Miss our beloved Queen Elizabeth so much.” Fittingly, The Royal Parks recently shared that a portion of The Regent’s Park will soon become a memorial to the queen. Among other features, the space will include a flower garden.
She Took Fans on a Tour of The Garden in Spring 2024

Of course, this isn’t the first we’ve seen of Gaines’ magical outdoor space. The designer took fans on a spring tour of her garden via Magnolia Journal in 2024. “It’s been 15 years since I roughed out my first plot of dirt with tape and rope and asked Chip to build me my first garden bed,” she wrote. As her newest post shows, she’s learned a lot about gardening over the years.
In addition to sharing photos of specific flower types, Gaines opened up about how the garden makes her feel. “Today, the garden’s presence alone means more to me than anything it produces,” she mused.
“For it’s equal parts counsel and comfort, teacher and learner.” She goes on to explain that the space holds tremendous value for both family and solitary moments. “Here is where I journal, pray, draw,” she wrote.
