What HGTV star Jenny Marrs initially thought was a missed opportunity quickly became a joyful memory.
On February 10, the “Fixer to Fabulous” host shared a series of videos Instagram as she and her daughter Charlotte anxiously watched a neighbor’s sheep go through labor. It would be the first time she could view the birth of a lamb, and Marrs did not want to miss it.
Which, of course, she did.
Jenny Marrs Moved by ‘Unexpectedly Amazing’ Arrival of Lamb
“We went to our house to get Luke (he was cold waiting and had gone home with Dave) and, when we came back, we saw we had missed it! The baby had been born,” Marrs wrote on Instagram.
Luckily, the mother gave birth to another lamb seconds after Marrs returned with her son, and Marrs was able to capture it on video.
“As we sat there, marveling at this new life, we unexpectedly watched as Mama delivered a second baby! (“It just slid out like on a slide” – Charlotte 😆),” Marrs stated in her post.
“Wow. Wow. Wow. What an unexpectedly amazing afternoon. I’m so thankful we were there witnessing new life and cheering the babies on as they stood for the first time on their wobbly little legs. Standing in that cold barn felt a whole lot like standing on holy ground.”
Though initially posting the videos in her Instagram Stories, Marrs declared that the lamb’s birth “deserved a permanent spot on my feed!”
“Of all the years caring for our little flock, I’ve never witnessed the birth of a new lamb,” she wrote.
“Fixer to Fabulous” Fondly Remembers Lamb Who Passed in June 2024
With the birth of the lambs, Marrs reminisced about a lamb named Tommy that had become her “sidekick” last spring while she attempted to nurse him to health. Unfortunately, Tommy succumbed to an infection and passed on June 29. Noting that the mother in the series of videos is “quite possibly the one who birthed our beloved Tommy,” Marrs described her swirl of emotions from watching the two lambs be born.
“We still ache when we think of him (and seeing him last week on the episode brought back tearful conversations about heaven and the abundant green pastures there),” she wrote. “And, this week, God let us witness a miracle and reminded me that life on earth may bring heartache but, every so often, the veil thins just enough that we get to see glory shine right on through. 🤍”
Followers expressed their happiness at watching the videos, with one stating, “I’m cancelling everything today to watch these videos on repeat. Twins!! 😍✨I could professionally sit in your pasture and tend to the farm. So sweet.” Another one said, “I was crying watching such a miracle. So wonderful and thank you for sharing. Your calmness and hope is what I need.”
