Jenny Marrs on ‘Vulnerable’ New Project: ‘I’ve Prayed So Hard Over It’

Jenny Marrs recently announced a new project that she said is “so vulnerable.” The HGTV star took a moment to thank fans for offering kind words of support after her big announcement.

Jenny Marrs Says She’s Grateful for Fan Support

On June 3, Marrs took to Instagram to share a message about her “vulnerable” project and thank all of her fans.

“You guys! Thank you for all the love and encouragement and support from my book announcement yesterday! I can’t tell you how grateful I am … this book is so vulnerable and I’ve prayed so hard over it and for every person who reads it,” she shared in the caption.

Marrs continued, “As you read the stories God has written in my life, I’ve prayed that you will take the time to pause and look back at your own story and marvel at your own markers of His faithfulness.”

The HGTV star noted, “And, if you find yourself in the middle of your own long, dark night of waiting, I hope these stories can encourage your weary heart. If despair creeps at the door, remember: Our God never authors pain. He is only good. He is always faithful. He can be trusted. You, too, can trust God and love people. 🤍”

She noted that her book, “Trust God, Love People,” will be released on October 7.

HGTV Star Explains Book’s Title, ‘Trust God, Love People’

On June 2, Marrs first announced her book and its release date. “For the past three years, I’ve been quietly plugging away writing one story, one page, one chapter at a time,” she wrote on Instagram. “Small steps. Because the big picture of writing this book felt daunting.”

She further noted the challenge of finding “the common thread connecting” her stories. “Until, my editor read the first draft of the manuscript. She said simply: This book is about learning to trust God and then, in turn, loving the people He puts in my path as a result of that deep, abiding trust.”

Marrs explained, “And, a title was born: Trust God, Love People.”

The HGTV star noted, “I have so much more to say about this book. It’s my heart on the page and I am so proud of it while also holding it loosely. Who knows what God will do with the stories He’s entrusted me with. I’m extremely nervous and extremely grateful to get to share them with the world very soon.”
