Jenny Marrs Shares How the Tornadoes Changed the New ‘Fixer to Fabulous’ Season

Fixer to Fabulous” stars Jenny and Dave Marrs opened up about helping members of their community after their town, Bentonville, Arkansas, was affected by tornadoes in 2024.

During a January 2025 interview with TV Insider, alongside his wife, Dave Marrs said he and Jenny Marrs worked on “some great projects” during the new season of “Fixer to Fabulous,” which premiered on January 7. Jenny Marrs chimed in that she and her husband “tried not to have too many giant projects” in 2024. However, the tornadoes in Bentonville had them change their minds.

“We had 12 tornados hit our town in one night. It really impacted so many families across our community. With that, a lot of our projects changed,” said Jenny Marrs to the publication. “We actually started a remodel and did the walk-through and were about to start when a tornado hit. We went from doing a kitchen, living room, and bedroom to completely renovating the entire house and bringing it down to the studs. There was a hole in the roof and a tree through it. That was one of several that were involved with the tornados. The tornadoes coming through really changed the season for us as far as the scale of projects.”

In addition, she said, “As a community, we stepped up and cared for one another.”

“We were out in the days and weeks that followed helping families with cleanup whose homes had been destroyed. The storms really affected our entire community. For us, it wasn’t an option. Of course, we will come help and do whatever we can for these families to get them back in their homes,” said Jenny Marrs during the interview.

Jenny Marrs Shared How She & Her Children Were Affected

While speaking to TV Insider, Jenny Marrs said that she, her husband, and their children, Nathan, Ben, Charlotte, Sylvie, and Luke, were upset by the tornadoes. She said, however, that their home “wasn’t destroyed,” despite having some damage.

Jenny Marrs then explained that because she personally knew how scary tornados are for children, she and her husband “really wanted to go above and beyond for these families, especially for the kids.”

“We had one family who had three little girls and lost everything. We not only wanted to renovate their home so they have a home but also bring something joyful and exciting and fun to look forward to being back home to replace those bad memories with good ones. There was another layer of wanting to help beyond just structural changes,” said Jenny Marrs during the interview.

In a May 2024 Instagram upload, Jenny Marrs shared her experience with the tornadoes with her social media followers. In the caption, she said that “The tornadoes and wind that rocked our communities took away homes, businesses, trees, power, and even life.” She also said, “through all that loss, our community got stronger.”

“The outpouring of friends, neighbors, and even strangers has been nothing short of amazing,” wrote Jenny Marrs in the caption.

Jenny & Dave Marrs Are Opening a Retail Store

While speaking to TV Insider in January 2025, Jenny Marrs noted that she and Dave Marrs are “opening another retail location in downtown Bentonville” in the Spring of 2025.

“We’re going to feature local artisans we work with and also global pieces we’ve found through traveling and collecting. It will be a little bit of a treasure hunt place, which will be really fun. It will give us one more thing to do and manage,” said Jenny Marrs.

Dave Marrs confirmed that they would be opening the new shop called Marrs on Main in a December 2024 interview with 5News. He shared that the store is not yet completed.

“We’ve got a lot of work to be done but we’re here,” said Dave Marrs during the December 2024 interview.
