Jenny Marrs Shares Peek at Lake Fun Amid Grief
On July 28, Marrs took to Instagram to share a compilation video showing some of the highlights of their weekend of lake fun. She admitted that they’re all still processing their grief, but were able to enjoy the time together.
“No trending audio … just the unlikely sound of laughter,” she wrote in the caption. “Our first time at the lake, ever, without our Dolly girl.”
The HGTV star continued, “The traces of tears still lined our cheeks but we experienced joy seeping through the cracks of sorrow this weekend.”
She added, “Water is healing. Adventure is empowering. Gratitude is grace.”
The video included snippets of kids riding tubes and kneeboards behind the boat, jumping from a cliff into the water below, and her son Luke driving the boat. It ended with a calm and peaceful sunset view.
Fans continued to share words of support, with one noting, “So sorry for the loss of sweet Dolly.”
One fan commented, “Looks like soooo much fun had by all. Dolly was there with y’all in spirit. God Bless.” Another agreed, writing, “Dolly will always be there in love and spirit.”
Others commented on the family taking the time to heal. “I hope sun, fun and family heals your hearts!!’ and “So glad you had a bit of a healing weekend,” fans shared.
Dave & Jenny Marrs Pay Tribute to Dolly: ‘We Will Love & Miss You Always’
Marrs and her husband Dave first shared the news of their dog’s passing on July 24. Marrs wrote on Instagram, in part, “The pain is too raw right now to properly convey how much Dolly has meant to our family. She was our family. She will never be forgotten.”
The “Fixer to Fabulous” star shared, “The tears we’ve shed are insignificant compared to the joy she gifted us with. We would say yes a thousand times over despite the inevitable heartbreak of goodbye. She was absolutely worth it.”
She added, “We will love and miss you always, Dolly-Sue. Eighteen years earthside wasn’t enough. Until we meet again, my girl.”
