Jenny Marrs Found the Family’s Missing Dog
On May 3, Marrs took to her Instagram Stories with a piece of amazing news — they found their missing dog Jack. She had previously put out a call for anyone in the area to be on the lookout and she finally got a solid lead on his whereabouts.
The HGTV star first shared an image of her dog through a window of someone’s house, writing, “JACK!!! HE IS ALIVE!”
“I’m a crazy person talking to him through the window,” she wrote. “Someone has him inside their house and they’re not home. Cops are on their way to help.”
Marrs continued, “I’m sure they were just keeping him safe but I need to get him out of this house and hug his neck immediately!!!”
She added, “I’m bawling and shaking!!” Thank you @hollybrookhouser!!!!!”
In the next image, she wrote, “Trying to find the homeowners. I’m not leaving without my boy — he just keeps looking at me through the window. So thankful!!!”
The Marrs Family Was Finally Reunited With Jack
Finally, they were reunited with Jack and Marrs shared all the details of the happy news in an Instagram post.
“Our boy is HOME!! I had the smallest thread of hope left that we’d ever find Jack so when a friend texted me this morning that someone thought they had spotted him and gave me the address, I dropped everything and raced over there,” she explained in the caption.
Marrs continued, “I prayed the whole way, ‘let it be him. Let it be him. Let it be him’ … I had no other words. I was also so nervous it was another false alarm so I didn’t tell the kids where I was headed.”
“When I got to the house and knocked, I heard him immediately and started shouting his name like a crazy person. He jumped up on the front window and I cried and knew instantly it was him,” the HGTV star shared. “But, no one was home. I spoke to the local police to see if they could track down the homeowner. Then, I could do nothing but wait.”
Everything worked out for the Marrs family, as she explained, “A sweet neighbor (the one who originally saw him) texted me the minute she saw a car pull in the driveway. The police and animal control officers went over and called me as soon as they confirmed it was him and I raced over.”
She added, “Whew what a day. What a reminder that this ole internet CAN be used for good and just as I said yesterday, there’s always a reason to still ‘dare to hope’!! Thankful for a happy ending today 🙌🤍😭. Thank you all for praying and sharing and searching for our boy!!!”
