Jenny Marrs Shares Hope for Her ‘Vulnerable & Scary’ New Project

Jenny Marrs‘ new book may not be available to read yet, but one of her friends got a look at an early copy and gave it a rave review. The HGTV star reflected on her hopes for the book, even though it was a “scary” project for her.

Jenny Marrs Shares What She ‘Prayed For’

On July 1, Marrs took to Instagram to share how her new book, “Trust God, Love People,” impacted a friend.

“A dear friend texted me this morning after reading an early copy of my book. Right now, she’s in the trenches of long nights and blurry mornings,” Marrs explained in the caption.

She continued, “A fleeting season that feels like endless feedings and diaper changes. The early days of motherhood — the ones where you’re just getting by and leave the dishes piled in the sink and find yourself whispering pleading prayers — are the most beautiful and precious, and, also the hardest. She’s finding her footing.”

The HGTV star noted that her friend became emotional while reading the book. “She shared with me that, as she read my words, tears pooled and she felt seen by God through my stories of His faithfulness,” Marrs noted. “She shared my words from chapter 12, saying how deeply they resonated with her in this season.”

The “Fixer to Fabulous host shared a quote from the chapter: “My still-newly-home toddler needed me, and sometimes following God’s lead is not always an adventure — sometimes it’s a sacrificial way of living that allows Him to work amidst very ordinary circumstances.”

Marrs adeed, “This is what I prayed for all along. That God would use these stories to breathe life into smoldering embers of faith. Sharing them with the world feels vulnerable and scary but, as October approaches, God keeps reminding me that I did my part and He’ll do His. 🤍”

The release date for “Trust God, Love People” is October 7.
