Jenny Marrs shared a “Fixer to Fabulous” update as the HGTV series ended season 6 and she reflected on the final episode. Never fear, another season of the fan-favorite show is around the corner!
Jenny Marrs Reflects on ‘Fixer to Fabulous’ Season 6 Finale
On April 9, Marrs took to Instagram to share that “Fixer to Fabulous” season 6 ended and looked at their final house renovation project.
“That’s a wrap on season 6! 🎬,” she wrote in the caption that accompanied a series of photos from the episode.
Marrs continued, “What a way to end the season … Barb and Roger couldn’t be kinder or more gracious. It truly was an honor to take the place they’ve loved for 30 years and restore the damage (both emotional and physical) caused by the storm.”
The HGTV star shared her love for this renovation, including “the little personal touches like the putting green for Roger and the personalized wine bottles of their new home.”
The attention to detail also included something fans didn’t see on the episode — “little cards we put inside the card catalog,” Marrs said. She explained that it provided an opportunity for “guests to write out an encouragement or a blessing for Barb and Roger when they visit and spend time in this room.”
She noted, “Now, they’ll have a catalog of guests and conversations to reminisce on when they are in this new space.”
Marrs added, “I hope you loved this one, friends. Thank you for joining us each week for the past 16 Tuesdays! What an incredible gift it is to be able to share our work with you all. We are always grateful for the privilege and could never say thank you enough for watching ‘Fixer To Fabulous’ and for your kindness and support! 🤍”
‘Fixer to Fabulous’ Ended Season 6 With a Very Special Home
In an April 8 Instagram post, Marrs teased the season finale, noting, “I can’t believe it.”
She explained how they had “a bit of a whirlwind” the past year working on the renovations while balancing everything with their kids’ activities and their farm.
Marrs noted, “when the tornadoes hit our town in late May last year, everything changed. Our projects took on a new urgency. We were no longer simply renovating homes, we were making homes liveable again for families.”
Their season 6 finale project was on a home damaged by tornadoes, as Marrs explained that the Ludwig family “were desperate for the home they raised their babies in to be HOME again.”
She noted, “They’d been displaced for many months at that point and were just wanting a roof over their heads. We gave them a roof and more. Not only is their place a home again but it’s cozy and warm and also a bit playful — because these two exude joy despite circumstances. They deserve a home where they can laugh and have some fun!”
On February 28, Marrs shared the status of season 7, and — good news! — they’re already hard at work on it. “Last year, we started filming in early April and wrapped this February,” she wrote. “We will start working on the next season this coming Monday 🙌 and will work through the end of the year.”
