HGTV’s Jenny Marrs Confesses ‘I Was a Mess’ During Daughter’s ‘Brave’ Adventure

Jenny Marrs has a young adventure lover in the family! The HGTV star gave fans a play-by-play as her daughter Charlotte took to the skies for a ride in a small plane. How did Marrs hold up during Char’s flight?

Jenny Marrs Shares Daughter Charlotte’s Adventure

On July 10, Marrs took to her Instagram Stories to share her daughter’s big adventure. “My brave girl. She’s been SO excited to go flying with Papa. Today’s the day!” she explained, along with a photo of Charlotte posing with a small plane.

Marrs noted that she was encouraging ahead of her daughter’s flight, despite her own worries about flying. “I tried to be calm and not let her know how much I was panicking inside,” the HGTV star shared. “I always want her to be brave and embrace adventure with joy.”

She continued in the next slide showing their takeoff, “I was a mess on the ground watching. I have been praying nonstop.”

“They flew to nearby Table Rock Lake for breakfast,” she reported. Charlotte even flew over her dad, as Marrs shared, “On their way home, they stopped by Dave at a job site.”

She also captured her happy daughter coming through the front door after her exciting flight. “It was so much fun!” Charlotte said.

The HGTV star shared some videos and photos that Charlotte took from her perspective in the air, which included the beautiful views. “She took several hundred videos and photos,” Marrs noted. “What a memory!”

As she scrolled through the photos, Marrs noted, “My mini me (except she’s way braver than I am).”

Jenny Marrs Has Shared Her Fear of Flying in the Past

On February 10, Marrs took to Instagram to share how she handled a flight that had her feeling uneasy. “Yesterday, Dave and I were flying home from a speaking event, and as we took off, I whispered a prayer asking for a glimpse of the joy that a dear friend describes when she flies.”

The “Fixer to Fabulous” star continued, “I love that she always says, ‘the top side of the clouds is my happy place’ (mostly because it’s truly incomprehensible to me).”

She noted, referencing her view above the clouds, “As we ascended, I opened my window (I usually keep it closed because I once saw the engine catch fire in mid-air, and I’ve never liked looking out since) and I saw THIS.”

Marrs added, “When we landed, I texted that friend: I’m thankful I opened the window. I still struggle with fear and am not a fan of being high up in the air in a metal tube, but I’m grateful for this unique vantage point to see the beauty God created.”
