Jenny Marrs Shares the ‘Biggest Change’ Viewers Will See on New Season

“Fixer to Fabulous” star Jenny Marrs teased what changes fans can expect from the show’s new season, which premieres on January 7.

In a joint January 2025 interview with TV Insider, alongside her husband, Dave Marrs, Jenny Marrs shared that their children, Nathan, Ben, Sylvie, Charlotte, and Luke — specifically the older ones — will not be featured as much on the series in the new episodes.

“As the big kids get older, they really shy away more so than ever from the cameras,” said Jenny Marrs to the publication. “It has been going on for a while now, but really this year they don’t want to have anything to do with cameras, particularly after school and long days. I think you’ll see the big kids not involved anymore. If they want to be part of the show, that’s up to them. We never would push that on them. I think that’s the biggest change viewers will see.”

In addition, she said all of her and her husband’s children are “busy.” She also shared that she and Dave Marrs recently decided to only focus on filming “Fixer to Fabulous,” instead of other HGTV series, to prioritize their children’s schedules.

“This year we scaled back because of the kids’ schedules and the fact they are getting older. We wanted to create more space in our calendars for them,” said Jenny Marrs during the TV Insider interview.

Jenny & Dave Marrs Spoke About Traveling With Their Children to Italy to Film ‘Fixer to Fabulous: Italiano’

During a February 2024 appearance on the “Jennifer Hudson Show,” Jenny and Dave Marrs noted that they brought their children to Italy to film their series, “Fixer to Fabulous: Italiano.” Jenny Marrs said she appreciated Italian culture because there is a “feeling of valuing relationships.” Dave Marrs agreed with his wife and felt that the sense of connection in Italy benefited their sons and daughters.

“Our kids went over, as much as we can bring them, they were apart of this. There’s a dependence on family. And there’s a dependence on being together when you are someplace new,” said Dave Marrs.

Jenny Marrs Posts About Her Children on Social Media

Jenny Marrs will often share posts about her children on social media. For instance, in an August 2024 Instagram post, the HGTV star shared videos and pictures of her children heading off to school for the new year.

In the caption of the post, she said she had an emotional response to Luke officially entering kindergarten.

“When you’re watching season six and notice my puffy eyes at a reveal, you’ll know that was the day I dropped my baby off for his first day of kindergarten. The fact that I have a tangible reminder of how fast time flies as his sisters start their first day of middle school and junior high and big brothers are off for their first day of high school just sent me over the edge. 😭♥️,” wrote Jenny Marrs in the caption.
