Jenny Marrs Takes Fans Behind the Scenes of Ambitious HGTV Renovation

HGTV “Fixer to Fabulous” stars Dave and Jenny Marrs took on one massive home renovation for a very deserving family in season 7, episode 4. Find out what was involved in the huge project that they finished in just 24 hours.

Jenny Marrs Shares What Was Involved in St. Jude Marathon Build

On January 29, Marrs took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes video from the “Fixer to Fabulous” St. Jude marathon build. It was definitely no small task.

“24 hours, 120+ volunteers, 1 deserving family,” the video noted.

Scenes from the massive undertaking showed all of the people involved, with Marrs noting the project “began with prayer” and “ended in prayer.”

Their crew was shown working on the exterior of the house and roof as well as tackling everything on the interior. The weather didn’t entirely cooperate either, as Marrs shared a glimpse of filming in the rain.

Of course, all of the hard work paid off. The final result was stunning and the St. Jude family were thrilled with the beautiful results.

Marrs Provides Details of Products Used in ‘Fixer to Fabulous’ Episode

In the Instagram post caption, Marrs gave some insight into all that was involved with the massive home renovation.

“I can confidently say that last night’s episode was the one Dave and I (and our entire team) are the most proud of,” she shared. “We accomplished more than just a home renovation. We proved that when a community of people come together to do something good — despite the challenges and obstacles and odds stacked against them — they can and will make a difference.”

Marrs explained that over 120+ volunteers were involved and their kids were also along to help out. As for the cost? The HGTV star noted that “every single product was donated.”

She shared, “We were all running on fumes and adrenaline and battling the rainstorm that rolled in overnight. BUT. We did it. We completed the home and surprised Kristen and the girls! And, many, many happy tears were shed. ‘Beautiful, hard, wonderful.’ 💛”

The “Fixer to Fabulous” star also shared the products used in the renovation, asking that her fans “support these companies because they all donated products and labor and we couldn’t have done it without them!”

For anyone wondering if they really completed the project that quickly, she assures they did. “My mom called and asked if we really accomplished this in 24 (ish) hours. We did. No TV magic here,” Marrs wrote.

“Just a group of folks loving on a family who has walked through the darkest valley and come out the other side stronger. We love you, Morris family!! 🎗️💛💪,” she added.

In her blog post about the “Overnight Overhaul” episode, she shared the paint colors and products from the episode. She also revealed that the “$100K renovation was completely funded by donations — from furniture to the tiniest details like gutters.”
