Jasmine Roth is diving in to her new life in Utah and getting real about this season of change, traveling with littles and dealing with baby bangs.
But she took a minute to make sure followers know how to keep things cool this summer, and it all comes down to flipping a switch.
In an Instagram post, Jasmine explained that now that it’s officially summer, it’s important to switch your ceiling fans to rotate counter-clockwise. The builder explained that this simple switch will create a downdraft that will keep you cooler without cranking your air condition down as much.
In the post, she writes, “Happy first day of summer friends! ☀️
Here’s a tip on how to stay cool while it starts heating up: Change the direction of your ceiling fan to make sure it’s spinning counterclockwise, this will create a downdraft, which you feel as that welcoming, cool breeze in summer. It’s such a simple trick to keep you cool all summer long!”
Jasmine Roth Gets Real About Post-Partum Struggles
While the HGTV host sometimes features helpful tips on social media, Jasmine Roth is also transparent about her life with a new baby and a big move.
In a recent post, she showed followers her current struggle with hair loss after the birth of her youngest child, 9-month-old Darla. The first picture shows her Instagram ready, but in the second photo, she’s combed down her hidden “baby bangs,” the regrowth from her hair loss.
In the caption she writes, “Instagram vs Reality! 🫠🫠
Tag someone who can feel my baby hair pain. Darla is 9 months old…how long are these going to last?”
Jasmine’s fellow mom fans were quick to thank the designer for being so transparent. One commented, “Being normal its ok 💙 how cool that you share it, I mean, it really is like that!!!, btw we are beautiful natural 😌 period! ✌🏼😌🤭”
Another wrote, “Postpartum hair is no joke! Thanks for sharing the reality ❤️”
And another commented, “Same! My baby girl Bliss is 9 mo too and the ppd hair loss is so real 😂😂”
Jasmine Roth Is Busily Shooting Season 5 of ‘Help! I Wrecked My House’
Jasmine Roth is currently in the middle of shooting episodes of season five of her HGTV show “Help! I Wrecked My House.” Production has moved with her to her new home state of Utah.
In a recent Instagram post, Jasmine went live taking followers along for reveal day for the third episode of season five. In the post, she showed that the home being renovated is out in the country, surrounded by mountains. Jasmine admitted it’s a very different setting than she’s used to living for the past 15 years in Southern California.
Jasmine and her family moved from Hunting Beach, California to Park City, Utah late last year. And HGTV moved her show with her. In an interview with HGTV, Jasmine talked about how the change in location would have a big effect on season five.
“Obviously, the show is no longer in Southern California,” Jasmine told HGTV. “SoCal is a different planet regarding design needs.” Jasmine says the fact that Utah has four very distinct seasons means homes need things like mud rooms and basements.
The move has also inspired a new design style. Jasmine told HGTV that for season five, she’s leaning into something she’s labeled “Luxury lodge.” She explains the style as, “Kind of glam, kind of rustic, always stunning.”
A debut date for season five of “Help! I Wrecked My House” has not yet been released.
