HGTV star Israel “Izzy” Battres had a question for his staff at his Santa Ana-based company, Battres Construction.
In an Instagram video, uploaded on March 25, Battres asked members of his staff what their plans were at 9 pm on Wednesday, March 26, which is when the season 1 finale of “Izzy Does It” airs.
When Battres asked the co-owner of Battres Construction, Mike Robles, the question, he replied he would “be at church.” After Battres jogged his memory, Robles said he would be watching “Izzy Does It.” Battres playfully shared his disbelief that Robles’ did not immediately have the correct answer, stating, “This is his company too!”
Unlike Robles, Battres’ son-in-law, Ben, who does accounting at Battres Construction, quickly said he would be tuning into the “Izzy Does It” season finale.
“Thank god he married my daughter!” responded Battres with a laugh.
He then asked a different employee’s young son the same question. After the child did not answer, his mother said she would be watching “Izzy Does It.”
“I paid her to say that,” quipped Battres.
Another member of Battres’ staff told him that his plan for Wednesday night was “snuggling with [his] wife and obviously watching ‘Izzy Does It.'”

In the caption of Battres’ March 25 Instagram upload, he said the first season of “Izzy Does It” has been an “amazing chapter.”
“It’s been such a joy sharing these moments with you all, and we’re so grateful for your support every step of the way. Make sure you don’t miss the last episode! Tune in Wednesday at 9/8c for one final remodel with us 🎥,” wrote Battres in the post’s caption.
Several fans flocked to the post’s comments section to share they have enjoyed Battres’ new HGTV series.
“LOVE the new show! Hope you’ll be back for another season! 🤩,” wrote a commenter.
“Love the show, season 2 pleaseee,” added another.
“NO!!!!! NOT THE LAST!!!! PLEASE TELL ME YOU’RE GETTING READY FOR A NEW SEASON!!!!! We love your show!!!!” shared a third person.
Izzy Battres Spoke About Starring in His Own Show
Battres, who has appeared in the shows “Flip or Flop” and “The Flip Off,” shared his thoughts about starring in his own series while speaking to HGTV.com in February 2025. He said the “Izzy Does It” is “representing people who are out there doing exactly what [he is] doing,” making “having [his] own show special. “
“There are many small Latino businesses that just want a shot at success. My goal is to show the rawness and reality of what it takes to grow a business and serve a community. My hope is that I represent them accurately,” said Battres during the interview.
During a March 2025 interview with FOX 11 Los Angeles, Battres shared his advice for other contractors who want to film an HGTV show.
“Stay true to your craft. That would be the advice I would give you. Stay true to what you love to do,” said Battres.
