The new season of “Rehab Addict” kicked off in June, but fans are now wondering if it’s been canceled. The HGTV series returned to the network after three long years, with star Nicole Curtis tackling two home restorations. Curtis shared the latest update on why the show suddenly isn’t on.
Is ‘Rehab Addict’ on Tonight? Was It Canceled?
Two episodes of the new season of “Rehab Addict” have aired: episode 1, “Nicole Goes West,” aired on June 24, and episode 2, “Attic Antics,” aired on July 1.
Episode 3, titled, “Doris Demolition,” and episode 4, titled, “Doris Reborn,” are not on the TV schedule, however. Instead, HGTV is airing old episodes of “My Lottery Dream Home.”
The lack of information about the show’s last two episodes had fans wondering if “Rehab Addict” was canceled.
On a July 1 HGTV Facebook post promoting the second episode, fans asked about the remaining episodes. “Nicole Curtis don’t see your show #rehabaddict on hgtv tonight??” one asked in the comments.
Another person wondered, “Episode 3. Where’s Episode 3? Not in the listings for Tues, 7/8.”
In a Reddit discussion about “Rehab Addict,” fans wondered whether the show would air the last two episodes.
“I just realized that ‘Rehab Addict’ is no longer in my scheduled recordings. It seems like they’re pulling it from the air,” one fan noted. “My guide shows ‘My Lottery Dream House’ playing reruns Tuesday evening during the spot on HGTV.”
Another commenter wrote, “I enjoy the show and her. It’s a shame if it is cancelled already. There is nothing on her IG about it being gone, as I type this.”
“They aired the first 2 episodes of the season but there were supposed to be 2 more that have disappeared from the schedule,” another person noted.
Nicole Curtis Gives Fans a ‘Rehab Addict’ Update
On July 8, Curtis took to Instagram to assure fans that the remaining two episodes of “Rehab Addict” will air … eventually.
“First, THANK YOU for making ‘Rehab Addict’ a number one rated show, again. You came out and shocked the heck out of all of us with the numbers ❤️❤️ if you missed the first two, watch them now streaming or don’t worry, I’m bringing those back along with the other new ones,” she wrote in the caption.
Curtis continued, “Second, here’s what is going on … I made the executive decision to shelf the rest of our new shows until Fall. I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice. It’s just a lot of hours (my hours) to get a show on air and we (my family +me) thought — why are we giving up Summer when we have the ability to do this in the Fall?”
She noted, “Thank you to the powers at be at HGTV that were receptive to our idea.”
“Third, without a doubt, I, truly, am beyond happy with this decision as I just spent the day with a phone that was dead and had no worries about it 😀,” the HGTV star shared.
Curtis added, “They are airing ‘Lottery Dream Home’ in my place. Fun fact, David Bromstead was my pregnancy beach buddy as we were filming and living next to each other in Gulf Shores Alabama for ‘Beach Flip’ (they just added those episodes to HBOMax and Discovery+) So, don’t be spreading rumors that he replaced me — I chose it.”
