Hilary Farr Spoke About Her Decision to Leave ‘Love It or List It’
Farr shared she was exiting from “Love It or List It” in 2023. While speaking to People magazine in December 2023, Farr explained her decision to leave the series, which she began filming in 2008.
“I’ve given it so many years of my life. It’s got me through hard times. It’s got the audiences through hard times. It has evolved into a mainstay of people’s lives and it’s been incredibly gratifying. But now it’s time for me to move on and meet new challenges,” said Farr during the interview.
Farr also said she intended to remain friends with her former “Love It or List It” co-host, David Visentin.
Visentin made similar comments about his friendship with Farr during an April 2025 interview with TV Insider.
“Hilary and I will be friends forever. I love her. can’t work with somebody for that long and not appreciate them as a human being and have love for them. I appreciate everything she gave to this show since 2008. I mean, it got to be where it is because of her,” said Visentin.
Visentin also let fans know that Farr will not be making a cameo in the upcoming 20th season of “Love It or List It” during an April 2025 interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“I think she’s entered the next chapter of her life,” said Visentin.
