HGTV star Heather Rae El Moussa‘s Friday nights aren’t quite as lively as they used to be after becoming a mom, but she isn’t mourning the end of those wilder times. See what El Moussa gets up to on Friday nights now and what she does to keep her cup full.
Heather Rae El Moussa Compares Her Friday Nights Before & After Becoming a Mom
On July 18, El Moussa took to Instagram to illustrate how different the Friday night vibe has become. One clip showed life before having a child, and another showed her nightlife after becoming a mom.
In the video, she noted, “Friday nights before kids,” showing her partying with friends in a club. Compare that to “Friday nights now … ” as her son Tristan ate a snack in his high chair. El Moussa sat next to him drinking wine, and she clinked her wine glass to his snack.
Her wilder Friday nights might be behind her, but the HGTV star isn’t sad about it.
“Friday nights used to mean heels, dinner reservations, and another round of drinks … Now it’s PJs by 7, a toddler dance party, and negotiating over bedtime snacks,” she wrote in the caption.
El Moussa added, “Wouldn’t trade it for anything. #MomLife #FridayNightsNow.”
In an interview with P.O.W.E.R. magazine for their Summer 2025 issue, El Moussa explained that she enjoys a quiet evening at home with family these days.
“Most people see the glamour and assume that’s all there is — but the truth is, I’m actually such a homebody,” the HGTV star explained.
She added, “I love myself a cozy night in with my family and pajamas and no makeup … that’s my happy place.”
