Erin Napier Admits to Moment of Jealousy When Ben Received DM From Another Woman

Erin and Ben Napier have been happily married for 16 years. Though the HGTV stars have a solid relationship, Erin confessed that one particular moment had her feeling a bit of jealousy.

Erin Napier Shared the Details of Her Jealous Moment

In a March 2025 interview with Us Weekly, the Napiers discussed some of the secrets of their happy marriage.

Erin also revealed a time when a moment of worry entered the picture. While discussing how they trust each other, Erin made the startling admission.

According to the HGTV star, a woman “who looks too much like a supermodel to be messaging Ben” DM’d him about working with the couple. Erin made it clear that she trusts her husband “110 percent,” but when she arrived home and found he had taken a mid-afternoon shower after spilling something on himself, her imagination got the better of her.

She said she “was not accusatory” but did want to find out what was up.

“I just wanted to let [him] know how creative my mind is,” she said.

Ben added, “Before she even called, she was like, ‘This is silly. Why am I thinking this?'”

Communication Is Important to the HGTV Stars

The Napiers spend a lot of time together, both at work and outside of it. Ben noted that Erin’s moment of worry “goes hand in hand with communication,” which is so important in a relationship.

“How you break trust [is when someone feels forced to say], ‘Why didn’t you tell me about this?'” he explained.

Erin noted, “We’re together all the time. I hear everything that he hears. [Laughs.] I’m standing with him when he hears it!”

Ben told Us Weekly, “Erin and I always say communication is a key element in a happy marriage.”

His wife shared that it comes easy to them at this point. “We’ve been together longer than we’ve been apart,” she pointed out. “We learned how to communicate together. It’s effortless now.”

Working together isn’t for everyone, but Ben thinks people should try it if they have the chance. “Some people say, ‘Oh, I could never work with my spouse,’ but it may be that you’ve never actually tried,” he shared.

The “Home Town” star explained, “If you go to your parents’ house and you’re only there for a couple days, you tend to start getting on each other’s nerves, but if you’re together for an extended period, you move beyond that, and you get into this groove together.”
