Erin Napier Admits She Got Emotional During HGTV Show: ‘I Was Crying My Eyes Out’

Ben and Erin Napier‘s HGTV show “Home Town Takeover” is a labor of love. The couple revealed they enjoyed the process so much during season 3 that they didn’t want it to end.

Ben & Erin Napier Share Why This Season Made Them Emotional

In a March 2025 interview with TV Insider, Ben and Erin discussed season 3 of “Home Town Takeover,” which has the couple tackling the town of Sebring, Florida.

They admitted that it was so much fun to work with the town’s community, it was emotional when it was coming to an end.

They were asked, “What can you say about what you go through this season and the finished product?”

Ben shared, “Our family had so much fun making this show we did not want it to end. There is a moment where Erin and I got emotional.”

Erin confessed, “I was crying my eyes out.”

Ben added, “We didn’t want it to end. For that to be work and for us to get paid to do this, it’s all a blessing most people don’t ever get to experience. I hope that all shows through this show.”

Ben Napier Calls Sebring the ‘Vacation Land of Yesteryear’

The couple also dished on what makes Sebring such a special location. It’s not as lively as Disney World, but it is a destination worthy of a visit.

“This part of Florida has almost been forgotten. It’s like the vacation land of yesteryear,” Ben said. “That was sort of the theme for our crew when we were making the show. That we were telling the story of yesterday’s vacationland.”

He continued, “It was how do you reintroduce the world to a place they used to visit. The truth is Sebring was built as a vacation town. A resort town. It was planned as one of the only cities in the world, at least within our universe, built on a circle. It’s planned out that way.”

The HGTV star added, “It has a race track. There are lakes, orange groves. It’s this fascinating town people just quit going to.”

Ben told Fox News Digital in a March interview, “It was built as a resort town before the coasts of Florida were really getting developed and blown up.”

Erin added, “I think there’s a lot of us who are craving slower, simpler, less is more. We want a beautiful lake and a quiet town to go have a really great meal.”
