Erin Napier is conquering her fears about international travel with a big smile on her face!
The “Home Town” star posted Instagram pictures of herself with husband Ben Napier on a family trip to Scotland. In the caption, she writes, “Seeing his homeland with my Scotsman 🏴”
The first picture shows Erin and Ben in sunglasses and jackets for Scotland’s chillier weather compared to what they’re used to in July in Laurel, Mississippi.
The second picture shows Ben carrying a backpack on a city street in front of a brick building. In the comments, Erin writes, “cool backpack by @thompsondrygoods!”
Not pictured are Ben and Erin’s daughters, Helen (7) and Mae (4), but Erin and Ben have said the whole family would be going on the trip.
But while the designer is all smiles in her posted pictures of the family’s the Scottish adventure, Erin didn’t always feel that way about the trip.
Erin Napier Confesses to Worry Ahead of Trip
Ben and Erin Napier were recently guests on Christian podcaster Annie F. Down’s “That Sounds Fun” podcast.
During the hour-long conversation, Erin confessed to Annie that she was filled with anxiety about the upcoming international trip. She said, “Right now, we’re getting ready to take a trip to Scotland in July to study his family heritage, and I am absolutely terrified.”
“Like, I have so much anxiety about crossing an ocean with my children. I, like, can’t even think about it,” she admitted. Erin explained, “I have to just — I’m disassociating from it because I can’t let myself think about all the things that can go wrong. I could list at least 20 things right now if you want to hear what I think could go wrong.”
“And they’re not big things, is the funny thing,” Ben said smiling, but Erin disagreed, saying, “No, they’re totally big things! You cross an ocean and you break your leg, who we calling? Where are we going?”
Podcaster Annie F. Downs was quick to comfort Erin, telling her that she actually used to live in Scotland. “So I have friends for you, I have everything you need in Scotland.”
Erin was here for that, saying, “I am not kidding when I tell you I want you to tell me anybody I could.. do you have a friend who’s a doctor in Scotland?” as Ben appears to laugh behind his hand.
Drew Scott Makes Surprising Comment on Erin Napier’s Post
Property Brother Drew Scott dropped a comment on Erin Napier’s Instagram post about Scotland, writing, “We were just there too!! ❤️”
Drew Scott’s Instagram account doesn’t feature any pictures from an overseas trip.
But we do know that Drew and his brother Jonathan might have more time for travel in the days ahead after HGTV announced the delay of two of their shows.
The upcoming “Chasing the West” has now been pushed back several weeks to July 30. And the second season of “Don’t Hate Your House With the Property Brothers” doesn’t currently have a debut date. It was set to air July 30, but now a press release only says it will debut “later this year.”
