Erin and Ben Napier Have Heartwarming Music Industry Ties

Beloved HGTV stars Erin and Ben Napier have come a long way in their television careers, and the national exposure they’ve received has opened doors to friendships they may have never thought possible. From film stars to other HGTV personalities, the Napiers have a colorful social network to build memories with and lean on for support. Surprisingly, that circle also includes friends from the music industry.

Over the years, the couple has opened up about their connections to country music star Chris Stapleton and Grammy winner Sheryl Crow. From comparing notes on work/life balance to bonding over growing up in small towns, the Napiers and their musician friends have built lasting relationships.

Chris and Morgane Stapleton Gave Erin and Ben Lessons in Putting Family First

As OK! shared in 2023, Erin and Ben feel they’ve gained invaluable wisdom through their friendship with Chris and his wife, Morgane Stapleton. “We met their family and became friends right at the beginning of this,” Ben explained, referring to the start of their journey to fame. “It was impeccable timing for us, because we had never been in front of the camera or out in the public eye. We learned a lot from them.”

In particular, Erin shared that the Stapletons helped them learn to stay focused on their family as their entertainment career took off. “Having people who are so many steps ahead of you in the public spotlight when you don’t know how to handle a certain situation or what to do, they’ve been there,” Erin said.

One major milestone in this heartwarming friendship came during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the Stapletons gifted the Napiers a vintage Airstream trailer. Erin and Ben gave the trailer a gorgeous overhaul, and Erin shared photos of the renovation on Instagram alongside a special thank-you to Chris and Morgane.

The Napiers and Sheryl Crow Have a Shared Love of Small Towns

Although Crow has been a mega-star for years, she got her start in a small town in America’s heartland. She first connected with the Napiers after falling in love with the renovation they completed on the Stapletons’ old Airstream trailer, but the common experience of growing up in a small town built a strong bond between the trio.

“She told us how much it meant to her that we were so invested in small town America because she’s from a small town in Missouri,” Erin shared with House Beautiful, referring to a conversation she had with Crow during the pandemic. The singer later appeared in an episode of “Hometown Takeover” to support the couple’s mid-pandemic work, aiming to bring some joy to viewers during a very difficult time for people around the world.

As one townsperson shared during the episode, Crow’s appearance in the series was a testament to the reach Erin and Ben have built over the years. “If Ben and Erin can get Sheryl Crow to Wetumpka, then they can do amazing things,” they said.
