Drew Scott Includes Son in Message to Los Angeles Firefighters Following Wildfires

“Celebrity IOU” star Drew Scott has a message to firefighters and first responders in Los Angeles following the destructive January 2025 wildfires.

On January 31, Scott took to his Instagram page to express gratitude to Los Angeles firefighters and first responders who helped those affected by the fires. He shared a picture of his son, Parker, 2, wearing a plastic firefighter helmet. He said his son, whom he shares with his wife Linda Phan, views the firefighters and first responders as heroes.

“Hats off to all the firefighters and first responders in LA. You’re truly heroes to all of us, including Parky 👨‍🚒❤️,” wrote Scott in the post’s caption.

According to NBC News, the Eaton Fire, which is “99 percent contained,” and the Palisades Fire, which is “98 percent contained,” caused “at least” 29 deaths.

Drew Scott’s brother and constant collaborator, Jonathan Scott‘s fiancee Zooey Deschanel shared that she and her sister, Emily Deschanel, lost their childhood home because of the Palisades Fire.

In a January 17 Instagram post, Deschanel said her parents, Mary Jo Deschanel and Caleb Deschanel’s home was “a marvel of 1920s Spanish revival architecture” and “one of the oldest homes in the Palisades.” She also said it was “full of too many incredible memories to count.”

“The Christmas dinners, Easter egg hunts, trick or treating, weddings, birthdays, baby showers… we celebrated the best moments of our lives there. The family photos that lined the hallways, the artwork, the piano I learned to play on, the wedding china, the furniture my great great grandfather built… the reminders of generations past: All have vanished into thin air,” wrote Deschanel in the caption.

She then thanked “all the people who have shown up for us and our community and Los Angeles in general.”

“To the firefighters who have been working around the clock to keep everyone safe: You are our true heroes. To the friends who have been so wonderful to think of us during this time: you have texted and called, come to visit, you have made us meals, you have sent clothes to my parents who left with nothing, you have distracted us with humor and you have cried with us when we needed,” continued Deschanel. “Your kindness is the salve that has made this bearable. To the strangers who have lifted our spirits with kind gestures: you are the true meaning of community. Thank you all for showing us the goodness in your hearts. You have no idea how much it means to us.”

Jonathan Scott Said He Would Help Restore Zooey Deschanel’s Parents’ Property

In the comments section of Deschanel’s post, Scott told his fiancee that he would help rebuild her parents’ home. He suggested that he enjoyed spending time on the property during their 5-year relationship.

Know that I will do whatever it takes to restore its original beauty to the best of my abilities. Nothing can replace the beauty and history of the original home. But it’s the best way we can honor it. ❤️,” commented Scott.
