Drew & Jonathan Scott Released 2 Country Songs!
Among their many accomplishments, Drew and Jonathan Scott gave country music a try. Although the release of their songs didn’t encourage them to record more music, they certainly could if they were ever looking for a different career.
Back in 2015, they recorded two songs, “Hold On” and “Let the Night Shine In” as the Scott Brothers. They debuted the songs on their HGTV special, “Property Brothers at Home on the Ranch.”
“Music has just always been part of our lives, something we’re passionate about — we grew up on a ranch where most weekend nights ended in us all around the campfire, with our dad playing guitar,” they told Hollywood Reporter at the time.
They added, “There have been times in our lives where people have told us something just can’t be done, and we’ve become addicted to proving these naysayers wrong.”
On July 14, 2025 the Property Brothers’ Instagram account celebrated the anniversary of “Hold On.” “Can’t believe it’s been 9 years since we released our first country single, ‘Hold On’! Now we’re going back to our country roots in our new show ‘Chasing the West’ premiering July 30 on @hgtv!” they wrote.
Drew posted about the song on July 1, writing on Instagram, “Just two country boys at heart.” He shared a behind-the-scenes look at filming the music video and pictures from their childhood, noting, “9 years ago, we released our first country song, ‘Hold On.'”
He explained, “We wrote the song to pay tribute to how we grew up on a ranch where most weekend nights ended in all of us around the campfire playing guitar. It really makes a difference when you get to spend that time with family, so that’s what we wanted the song to be about.”
