Longtime HGTV stars Drew and Jonathan Scott wound up doubled over in laughter trying to commemorate National Twin Day on December 18, 2024.
Thousands of fans got a kick out of seeing the 45-year-old Property Brothers struggle to keep their composure in a video they both posted on social media. The video shows the twins squished together in a conjoined Christmas sweater, laughing so hard they have to wipe away tears.
Drew & Jonathan Scott Can’t Stop Laughing Over ‘Crazy’ Twin Day Stunt
The Scott brothers captioned their video, “Two heads, one sweater, zero personal space.” They also added text over the video footage that said, “Trying to film a Twin Day video without laughing 🤣”
As the brothers were filmed standing in front of a white backdrop wearing their joint sweater, adorned with red and blue holiday imagery, they kept flubbing their lines and crumpling into laughter.
“When I laugh, do you feel it?” Drew is heard asking Jonathan as he giggles.
The video then switches to “Take 2,” during which Jonathan looks down at their sweater and utters, “This is crazy!” Soon after, it jumps to “Take 12,” with the brothers laughing so hard they’re in tears.
“I know what you’re thinking,” Jonathan struggles to say through his laughter, which only intensifies after he exclaims to viewers, “What’s the underwear like?!”
Fans could not get enough of the blooper reel, which received over 10,000 “likes” within a few hours, including from actor Torrance Coombs, HGTV colleague Galey Alix, and Jonathan’s fiancée, actress Zooey Deschanel.
“100 Day Dream Home” star Mika Kleinschmidt commented, “😂😂😂❤️omg!”
“Thank you for making us laugh like that,” one fan wrote. “I can’t take it anymore, you drag us both into your bursts of laughter. It feels good to laugh like that, I really needed it at the moment😂😂😂😂😂”
Someone else chimed in, “Tears are streaming down my face!😂😂😂. Thank you for posting this video, it made my day!”
Drew & Jonathan Scott Created Second Video in Honor of Twin Day
The Scotts’ Property Brothers Instagram account also posted an amusing music video starring the twins on National Twin Day, in which they delivered over-the-top lip sync performances of Muni Long’s “Made for Me.”
“Where have you been?” Jonathan mouths as he peeks around a patio corner, and Drew replies, “Nobody knows me like you do!”
The brothers have said repeatedly that being twins has created a lifelong bond between them.
“I think the nice thing is no one knows you better than your sibling, especially if you shared a womb together,” Jonathan told Collider in early 2024.
Drew then quipped, “When you sit on someone’s head in the womb for a while, you really get to know them.”
The Scotts wrapped up the first six-episode season of “Don’t Hate Your House With the Property Brothers” on December 18 with the second part of a huge home remodel they conducted for their parents. The full season is available to watch via Discovery+ and Max.
