Dave Marrs’ Latest Woodworking Project Will Crack You Up

HGTV star Dave Marrs routinely makes furniture for the homes he and wife Jenny Marrs renovate on their show “Fixer to Fabulous.”

But his latest project was a little more personal. And a LOT more hilarious.

A new video posted to his Instagram account shows Dave Marrs hard at work in his woodshop, spinning a block of wood on a lathe, carefully carving it down.

He uses a gouge to continue to refine the piece when we hear Jenny call her husband to dinner.

And that’s when we learn that Dave was making his very own giant wooden spoon to eat the macaroni and cheese Jenny made.

When Dave first walks in the kitchen, his giant spoon is bathed in golden light as an angelic note plays. Jenny says, “Just because it’s supremely cheesy doesn’t mean you had to make your own spoon.”

“But I did,” Dave replies.

The video ends with Dave eating a bowl of the mac n’ cheese with his giant spoon, declaring, “Baby, that is so cheesy.”

The caption on the post gives another wink to the cheesy video, with Dave writing, “I have found a way to combine two of my favorite things: woodworking and food. And it is so Cheesy! 😂😂😂🧀🧀”

Cheesy Video is Just One of the Marrs’ Endorsement Deals

The partnership with Stouffer’s is just the latest of Dave and Jenny Marrs’ endorsement deals.

In another video for the mac n’ cheese, Jenny asks Dave to renovate their pantry. Instead, he fills it with mac n’ cheese. Jenny scolds him, saying, “I ask for a pantry MAKEOVER not a MAC-over.”

Dave has also leant his star power to a company that makes building materials and another that manufactures hoses. And the couple has formed partnerships with a shower installer and an air conditioning company among others.

They also run several businesses of their own in Bentonville, Arkansas, including Marrs Mercantile and Marrs on Main.

One Endorsement Was a Family Affair for Dave Marrs

Dave Marrs even enlisted the help of his twin sons to give a shout out to local Bentonville barbershop The Gents Place. Ben and Nate, who just turned 15-years-old, went with their dad to get haircuts in the video.

Dave captioned the video of the trio getting haircuts with “Very thankful for rare moments with my two oldest boys who seem to be growing up way too fast!” Jenny commented, “You three are so fancy ❤️😂. I love it! Such a fun memory!!”

Jenny Marrs Has Also Made Time to Write a Book

Somehow, in the midst of all their businesses, their HGTV tv show, raising five kids and running a farm, Jenny Marrs has found time to write a book.

In an Instagram post, Jenny describes the book, titled “Trust God, Love People” writing, “It’s my heart on the page and I am so proud of it while also holding it loosely. Who knows what God will do with the stories He’s entrusted me with.”

That book drops October 7.

Marrs Berry Farm Raises Money for Causes Close to Marrs Family’s Hearts

The Marrs family still found time to open their farm to visitors this summer for their U Pick Berry Farm.

Dave and Jenny Marrs started the Berry Farm in 2015, four years before HGTV came calling and the endorsement deals started rolling in.

The Marrs family planted the berry farm to raise money for the charity “Help One Now.” The organization in Zimbabwe trains orphaned teenagers and young adults to help them transition into adulthood with the skills that they need to succeed.

In fact, Dave and Jenny’s yearly “Berry Bloom Dinner” raised enough money this year to fully fund the “Help One Now” farm school in Zimbabwe for a full year. Which means other charities that the couple love and support benefitted from money raised on u-pick nights at the Marrs Berry Farm.
