Dave and Jenny Marrs are looking back on their successful blueberry farm season with a lot of gratitude. The HGTV stars’ work on the farm isn’t done yet, but they will enjoy a bit of a break.
Dave Marrs Is Grateful as He Shares What’s Next for the Farm
On July 1, Dave took to Instagram with a brief message about the family blueberry farm and how they’re busy prepping it for another season.
“With the Berry Season behind us, we have a small window of quiet,” he explained in the caption. “There [are] a couple berries here and there for the birds and the fields are clean, mowed, and resting.”
He continued, “Next week we start cutting out the dead branches, and removing older canes to give new life to the branches that will give us fruit in the future.”
Dave added, “But for today, we just celebrate another successful year of incredible people showing up to support us at @theberryfarm_bentonville. Thank you all.”
Jenny commented, “So grateful we get to do this!”
On June 20, Jenny announced that the berry picking season was over. “We can’t believe it, but … that’s a wrap on the 2025 berry season!” she wrote in the caption.
The HGTV star continued, “Our blueberries have all been picked! 🙌 We can’t thank you you all enough for showing up and supporting our community farm!!”
She also shared that the proceeds were donated to several organizations: “@helponenow and our partner trade school in Zimbabwe for orphaned and at-risk teens, @nwachildrensshelter where each year, hundreds of children find a safe haven and HOPE for the future, and @mwangazaint — a long term partner devoted to giving vulnerable people in the Democratic Republic of Congo a chance at a full life — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.”
“A local sports program for teens in our community” and “a new retreat center for vulnerable children in Belize” also benefited from the farm’s success.
Jenny noted, “Because of your generosity, our little farm will continue to make a difference here in our community and around the globe! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
Jenny Marrs Shares the ‘Ripple Effect’ of Their Farm
On June 8, Jenny took to Instagram to explain how their berry farm makes a positive impact.
“It’s a beautiful privilege to be able to work as a family to create delicious food and to cultivate a space for our community to gather and experience a slice of farm life,” she noted.
Jenny explained, “This small blueberry farm has taught us that we can all DO something bigger than ourselves. The ripple effect of these fields reaches farther than we ever anticipated. It isn’t easy but it is simple: profits from our u-pick farm in NW Arkansas benefit a farm training program for orphaned teens in Marondera, Zimbabwe.”
The HGTV star noted that the farm gives their children an opportunity to “value hard work and nature and, most of all, generosity … With so much division in our world today, we pray these experiences will allow our kids to rise up as world changers and light bearers for their generation.”
