4 HGTV Couples Debut New Shows This Week (January 6-12, 2025)

Some of HGTV’s most popular couples — and one brand new duo — will appear in new shows during the week of January 6 – 12, 2025. Included in the lineup: Dave and Jenny Marrs kick off a new season of “Fixer to Fabulous” as new seasons of Ben and Erin Napier’s “Home Town” and Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa’s “The Flipping El Moussas” continue with brand new episodes.

Here’s EntertainmentNOW’s guide to all the new shows to watch for this week…

January 7: Season Premiere of ‘Fixer to Fabulous’

Beloved HGTV couple Dave and Jenny Marrs return for season 6 of “Fixer to Fabulous” on January 7 at 8 p.m. Eastern time. Fans will be thrilled to discover the Arkansas-based couple and their family have filmed a whopping 16 new episodes, per HGTV.

As the Marrs juggle life at home with their five kids and busy farm in Bentonville, they’ll take on some major projects including a 24-hour “marathon build” for a St. Jude family stricken by health crises and a complete remodel of a house devastated by a tornado.

In the season premiere, HGTV says, “Dave and Jenny will tackle an enormous project for a military couple looking for a fresh start in their outdated home after years of relocating and an unexpected tragedy. Throughout the renovation, the Marrs will incorporate special design tributes to honor their family.”

January 7: Series Premiere of ‘Betting on Paradise’

HGTV fans will meet a brand-new couple with the series premiere of “Betting on Paradise,” debuting on January 7 at 9 p.m. Eastern time (right after the “Fixer to Fabulous” season premiere). The series follows Luke Shantz and Steph Sitt and their children as they take on a “high-stakes hotel transformation” in Costa Rica.

Across six one-hour episodes, viewers will see the couple and their two young daughters move sight unseen to the coastal town of Jacó, per HGTV press materials, where they’ve bought a “crumbling piece of prime real estate” hoping to turn it into a small luxury hotel called Hotel Amavi.

Funded by investments from friends and family, Shantz has a construction background and Sitt has “high-end hospitality experience” to lean on as they address “massive structural issues, frustrating delays and shocking budget increases” before the peak tourist season. In the premiere episode, the couple will tour the property for the first time, “discovering damage at every turn,” HGTV said.

January 9: New Episode of ‘The Flipping El Moussas’

In the newest season 2 episode of “The Flipping El Moussas” — premiering on January 9 at 9 p.m. Eastern time — Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa help out his sister, Angelique El Moussa.

HGTV’s synopsis of the episode says, “Tarek puts on his teacher hat as he attempts to show his sister and her boyfriend the ins and outs of flipping. Mixing family with business, however, may prove to be a flipping disaster.”

January 12: New Episode of “Home Town”

Erin and Ben Napier’s eighth season of their hit show, “Home Town,” continues with a new episode called “The Garden Shed” on January 12 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

According to HGTV’s synopsis, “A family looks to renovate their home to create more room for visiting grandparents. Ben and Erin take on the task of a dream guesthouse renovation, but disaster strikes when they soon encounter major, unforeseen issues.”

Additional Programming Notes for HGTV Fans This Week

A few additional programming notes:

According to HGTV’s schedule, there won’t be a new episode of David Bromstad’s “My Lottery Dream Home” this week. Season 17 will continue next week.

HGTV will continue its new experiment of airing classic movies featuring beautiful homes on the weekends. On January 11 at 1 p.m. Eastern time, HGTV has scheduled an airing of “The American President” — set at the White House — starring Michael Douglas and Annette Benning.

New episodes of “House Hunters” are slated to air on January 8 at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Eastern time, per TV Guide. The half-hour episodes are titled “North Carolina Coastal Clash” and “Anchoring in Georgian Bay.”
