Christina Haack Thanks Tarek & Heather Rae El Moussa Amid Her Divorce From Josh Hall

HGTV star Christina Haack is expressing gratitude to her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa.

During a joint January 2025 interview with Access Hollywood, Haack, her ex-husband, and Heather Rae El Moussa discussed their new HGTV competition series, “The Flip Off.” Haack noted that her now-estranged husband, Josh Hall, had filmed an episode of the series. However, Hall exited the show after their July 2024 split.

According to Haack, Tarek El Moussa and his wife “were super supportive” as she navigated her divorce. She said that she had given Heather Rae El Moussa and her husband a heads-up that she and Hall were having relationship issues before their split.

“We talked about it in advance. They knew we were having issues. And thank you guys. You guys were very supportive the whole time. So I appreciate that,” said Haack to her ex-husband and Heather Rae El Moussa during the interview.

Tarek El Moussa then quipped that he and his wife “didn’t even pay her to say that.”

“Like that was real,” said Tarek El Moussa with a smile.

Heather Rae El Moussa Spoke About Josh Hall’s Exit

During a November 2025 interview with Entertainment Tonight, alongside her husband, Heather Rae El Moussa shared her thoughts about Hall. Heather Rae El Moussa suggested filming became easier once Hall exited “The Flip Off.” She said that she believed “Christina was able to be free and have fun, and really step into her own” after her split from Hall.

“It was nice to see and it really made things really fun and lighthearted,” said Heather Rae El Moussa.

Heather Rae El Moussa made similar comments about Hall in a January 2025 interview with Us Weekly, alongside her husband and Haack. She said the show’s dynamic was “better” following Hall’s exit.

“Not to be mean, but he definitely didn’t have the best personality. So it’s like a breath of fresh air. And [Christina is] in a really good place,” said Heather Rae El Moussa to Us Weekly.

Christina Haack Said She Did Not Like Filming With Josh Hall

During the January 2025 interview with Us Weekly, Haack said she did not like filming with Hall on “The Flip Off.”

“Josh was very hard to film with. He didn’t get it. He’d always get upset with me, like ‘Oh, my gosh, you did this’ or ‘You did that.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m making a TV show.’ Ultimately, it was better that he left after episode one because the show would’ve sucked,” said Haack to the publication.

Haack also told the publication how she was doing amid her divorce from her third husband.

“I’ve been very busy, which is probably a blessing. It’s really been a big growth period,” said Haack to Us Weekly.
