HGTV star Christina Haack may not have the best track record when it comes to marriage, but she definitely has some great role models!
Haack posted congratulations to her parents over the weekend on their 50th wedding anniversary. In the Instagram post showing her mom and dad, Christina wrote, “Happy 50th wedding anniversary to my parents. Thank you for all your hard work and devotion to not only each other but also to my sister and me. Can’t wait to celebrate, Love you guys ❤️”
Paul and Laurie Haack have largely stayed out of the spotlight throughout their daughter’s rise to fame through HGTV shows “Flip or Flop,” “Christina on the Coast” and her latest “The Flip Off,” taking on ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his second wife Heather.
Christina’s Parents Stepped into Spotlight for Episode of ‘Christina on the Coast’
But all that changed when Paul and Laurie decided to let Christina remodel their home of many years. In fact, it’s the home Christina grew up in.
In an Instagram post at the time of the remodel, Christina Haack wrote, “Meet my parents. Who I am FINALLY replacing their 1970s kitchen cabinets.. I know I know, how have they not asked for me to redo their kitchen before?! Well… the 1970s cabinets held up well and as my dad says “your generation is so wasteful” 🤣 touchĂ©.. and they like to spend their time & money on travel as opposed to their daughter who loves to constantly renovate 🤪… All kinds of amazing episodes in store for season 5. (Sorry no air date yet) … but I cannot wait!
Ps I know my parents would be bothered if I didn’t say their home looks like a war zone because we are currvently in the demo / mid reno stage and everything is piled in the dining room. 🤔
HGTV posted the beautiful results touting the great job Christina did on the revamp.
That episode, titled “Growing Up Christina,” ended up being the season five premiere of “Christina on the Coast.”
Christina’s Marriage Woes Play Out on HGTV
Around the same time as the season five premiere, fans started speculating about the state of Christina Haack’s third marriage to Josh Hall. Hall appeared briefly in the episode, but only in passing.
By the time “The Flip Off” premiered, the pair had gone their separate ways and Josh quickly stopped appearing in episodes. Christina confessed the breakup to ex-husband Tarek, which lead to an emotional heart-to-heart for the exes.
The series did reunite Christina with second husband Ant Anstead. Each team got to pick judges for different episodes. And Christina surprised her competition by inviting Anstead, to be a guest judge. After a bitter custody battle over their 5-year-old son Hudson, the pair were able to put aside their differences during the filming of that episode.  People quotes Christina saying the reconciliation was a conscious choice both made for the sake of Hudson. “Ant and I share Hudson… and I feel like he deserves to have us get along,” she said.
Since taping the show, the pair have been supportive of each other on social media, with Anstead posting a picture of the two parents with Hudson after a school performance last week.
